Pity they don't play a game of 7s as well between Boks and Proteas; minimal contact so shouldn't be career ending but fun to watch

I bought a 1200 lumens CREE for handlebar, works well enough for me. Still want to add a headlight though; last night cycled with a group of people between 7 and 9pm on footpaths with tall grass, couldn't see where I was going so was painstakingly slow, reckon a headlight would've helped, even if just a little!!

Did the winter one in 2013 for my first 40+ event. Ideal for this because its non technical so you can just focus on the distance and time in the saddle. The tip about rain for the summer one is appreciated, will wait until the cut-off date of the 10th to register so that I can keep an eye on the weather (even if the predictions are usually incorrect!)

Rigel has a cycle path for that part so should work well. Pressure points will be crossing Rigel when turning into Perseus and may need to regroup at the top of Perseus after the incline :-) Groenkloof is a good starting place. Only other options I can think of is Monument Spar on Skilpad rd, then Orion and Carina into Rissik. Or Waterkloof Lifestyle Centre in Cliff Ave, then Muskejaat, Orion, Carina, Rissik. Advantage of this one is parking a the Dros, Mimmo and Romans for after the cycle. I know nothing of organizing these things so will stick to your plan!!

I agree that we would've loved a draw a few days ago, I even thought of a rain dance.... But to play so well that you are in a position to win with one session to go after losing 4 days, and them play our for a draw doesn't sit comfortably with me, I wonder if the Aussies would've done the same ..
