  1. And to stay with the train theme, here's Jeff Back and Rod Stewart giving the Impression's classic a revisit...
  2. Move over Cat Stevens, here comes Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs,,, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-wcrJgecWY
  3. Stripped down... just Finn and an acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, the sound quality is a bit suspect - apparently sourced from the feed of a Sydney radio station.
  4. Post-rock track of 2014
  5. Cyndi Lauper (1984) and Tuck & Patti (1988)
  6. The Who (1973) and Pearl Jam (2008) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygOaNo3M_Hw
  7. Great version of a great song...
  8. My reading suggests that the most covered song of all time is 'Summertime' from Porgy and Bess.
  9. Closer than the internet reference I found: Eleanor Rigby: 131 versions Yesterday: 3000+ http://mentalfloss.com/article/20811/quick-10-10-most-covered-songs-ever
  10. I'm going to side with Shebeen on this one. Yesterday has surely been covered by more artists than Eleanor Rigby. Sketch, what was your source? Agreed, Revolver was a better album than Help! but I have seen estimates of Yesterday being covered by thousands to millions of artists... to quote Eleanor Rigby "no one comes near"
  11. Way before World Music David Byrne had soul... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ar2VHW1i2w
  12. The cover to end all covers...
  13. Here's another version often overlooked. Superb. Good as the Stones? Good as the FBB? You decide... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiyCkSOF1pc
  14. ACDC have been lambasted for their new video - apparently the connoisseurs of rock videos are aghast at the amateur use of green screen technology. I kind of like it...
  15. I like listening to his daddy too...
  16. Fixed.
  17. With this weather it definitely seems more bluesy than folksy...
  18. Time for a goodie....
  19. Meh, Nonetheless it was pretty funny.. Sort of like listening to the idiots savant (sans savant) Pierce and Skinstad. The only difference was that they (Team America) were comedic, rather than idiotic.
  20. No, who artists wish to associate with when they're not performing is no concern of mine. In this case, Knobbie has a couple of tracks I don't mine and his performance of Sammy Davis Jnr's 'Mr Bojangles' I rated highly. So, no concerns there...now if he had hung out with uber creep Ian Watkins then I would destroy all trace of his musical existence (in my collection)!
  21. Paul Weller #3: Solo
  22. Paul Weller #2: The Style Council
