  6. Agreed -the accompanying video is pretty moving too. Quite remarkable how well is voice has held out. I have vague recollections of singing along to Rhinestone Cowboy as a youngster, in a manner not too dissimilar to the way my 8 year old daughter sings along to One Direction... My music was better

  9. Ooh, Wendy James... to quote Richie Rich (Rik Mayall: Filthy, Rich and Catflap) - "my all-time favourite four-tissue fantasy" ... I know; sad and wrong but it's been one of those days.
  10. Pretty heavy for the drive home, Ron... This is about as heavy I got on today's commute:

  15. New AC/DC song: Play Ball," the first rollicking, riff-heavy track to emerge from the Aussie hard rockers' upcoming Rock or Bust, has debuted online. Previously, a snippet of the song had aired during promos for Turner Sports' Major League Baseball Postseason campaign. The song is a straightforward, meat-and-potatoes AC/DC cut that tops out at just under three minutes. It will be available as an instant-gratification track to fans who pre-order Rock or Bust, which is due out on December 2nd.
  16. Friday afternoon - time to wind down...
  17. Yip, but Plumtree and Putt were immersed in Sharks rugby culture. My initial reaction is that Mitchell may struggle to assimilate. He's rumoured to be a fierce disciplinarian... and with the players reportedly unhappy about White's headmaster approach perhaps the twain never shall meet? His coaching history seems to have a recurring theme of departure with acrimony (ABs - Force - Lions). However, reports from his tenure as Director of Rugby at UKZN are remarkably positive, perhaps he has mellowed somewhat?! Let's hope so. Would be nice to be the bride rather than the bridesmaid for Super Rugby 2015.
  18. Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell is emerging as the front-runner to replace Jake White as director of rugby at the Sharks in Durban. Sportingbet installed Mitchell as 15/8 favourite ahead of former Springboks and Italy coach Nick Mallet at 5/2. South Africans Gary Gold and Brendan Venter are listed at 5/1 with a return to the job by Sharks stalwart Dick Muir is listed at 7/1. 19. Forget Rick Astley or Milli Vanilli at your next bad taste party this takes the gong...the song is plain awful but the video, you've gotta see it to believe it...
