A friend of cycling , Johan Steyn , better known as JJ has opened a top class 2nd hand cycle shop in Durban Road , Bellville and asked me to place the following on the hub. His shop is next to Tafelberg Furnishers and across the road of the Vodacom building in Durban road Bellville. Hallo BMC Fan. Net gou vir jou n antwoord gee oor gisteraand. Ek het al verlede week vir Chris Basson laat weet dat Chris jnr nie gaan deelneem nie weens verskillende faktore buite sy beheer. Micheal van Staden het n been besering op gedoen en sy bestuurder van sy span moes hom sekerlik gekontak het. Garth Thomas is in die span van Chris Basson . Ek is so bietjie vervelig vanoggend en het besluit om vir n slag al die lekker nuus en skinder nuus op die hub te lees. Wat groot Lem se verkiesing betref is ek nie seker of die regte prosedure gevolg was nie want heelwat mense het verskillende stories. wat ek wel kan se is los hom , laat hom sy werk doen. As dit goed gedoen word dan sal hulle hom weer kies. As hy nie reg werk nie sal hy onder sy G. t geskop word. Wat hy en sy Boland komitee sover gedoen het met dieToer de Boland oer is goed vir fietsry. Dit was n groot sukses - selfs baie beter as die Giro.

Thanks everyone who were here last night. It seems like the all enjoyed the ride. I beleived a couple of cyclists bought some ground last night as well but luckily no one got injured. From my side - Thanks Andre and Chris jnr for taking controll of this lekker ride as well as everyone that rode it. One question to jnr ; Please look after your daddy and sponsor me with a MTB . I will not put you away uphill but cant garuntee you what will happen on the down hill .

Hi Carinus. Gewoonlik gaan ek net Sondae op die hub om al alle stories te lees. Ek moet dit vannaand verander nadat ek Super Cycling se program gekyk het. Wat kan ek se. Baie geluk met n puik geselsie oor fietsry. Dit is seker die beste wat ek vir n lang tyd gehoor het van enige iemand van SCAF en FSA. Jy was regtig uitstekend vanaand. Hi Hubbers. 1st thank you all for your support during 2007 and may you all have a fantastic 2008. The products that Chris jnr are bringing in is not B Grade stock. It is the orriganel product and it comes from the real agents in Europe and the EU. That is why we give the same gaurantee as lined out by the manufactores. Who ever had a problem with stock that were bought from us got serviced immediatly or replaced with a new part. The Cartell. Yes that has all been said to us by an wholesaler that a cartell of 36 dealers in the country is busy forcing the wholesalers not to supply us with any products . Lucky for us is that some of that dealers is buying stock from CW jnr and keep us informing what is happening. 2 dealers have already given us written confermation on certain meetings that took place between certain dealers and wholesalers. 2008 is going to be very intresting. I can assure my supporters that you will see a few wholesalers and dealers in court summond by the COMPETITION BOARD and ourselves. Let 1 more wholesaler close our account due to the importing that CW jnr does and you will see even better prices coming your way and the compitition board will be making some good money. Why must the cyclist always get penelised for doing things wrong and not the officials or the organisers? Sundays Burger race was held on a fantastic day with perfect conditions. Now the cyclists get blamed again for riding on the wrong side of the rode and I have no problem supporting the officials on that BUT Where was the ambulance or medics when that nasty accident happend just before Paarl? About R 750000 were taken from entrys - Surely there could have been more ambulances on the rode. I did not see any medical tents on the route. What about the safety of the cyclists now ? Who is going to take the blame when a cyclist or the bunch is going to fall in a sprint because of the rode that is wide [ 2 lanes ] and then suddenly becomes one in the last few hundred meters due the cones that has been put in the rode and forcing the cyclist into 1 lane. I think that it is time that some cyclists, officials, PPA and CSA get together and discuss the safety of the cyclists in general. The cyclists are not the only ones that is always wrong.

Ja hierdie gesprek sal nog vir baie jare aangaan. As spanbestuurder en voormalige fietsryer keur ek dit glad nie goed dat n fietsryer teen n opdraend en n afdraend aan die verkeerde kant van die pad ry nie. My span is ook skuldig daaraan maar as die organiesserders die topryers wil kry om te ry en aan die borge se hoe goed en groot die wedren gaan word dan moet hulle sekerlik n plan doen om die pad gesluit te kry. Ek sien geen probleem dat die ryers van tyd tot tyd aan die verkeerde kant van die pad ry as daar n " gutter " is nie mits dit gelykpad is en mits daar geen aankomende verkeer is nie. Ek het al baie wedrenne gereel en weet wat se hel die organiseerders party keer kry maar waarom kan die beamtes nie n voertuig met n rooi vlag 250 m voor die bondel laat ry nie en vra net vir die verkeer om stadig te ry. Dit was al die jare gedoen tydens die Rapport toer , Boland Bank toer, Allied en self vanjaar tydens die Toer van die Boland. Hier swel Hendrik se kop alweer.

Stage 6 Joengub - Gangjin 162.8km We woke up at 6.30 local time and guess what. NO RAIN. We left for breakfast at 7 am. Breakfast was about 2km from our hotel. We were all happy that we dont have rain again. BUT BUT BUT BUT. When we left the breakfast hall and got outside the rain was back again and just started to rain harder and harder and beleive me it is still raining - 12 hours later. This is now going on since Sunday. Popey, not even Brackenfell can have so many rain. The race started at 10 with a course of not to many climbs. A few brakes went from the start but were everytime brought back by the peleton. After about 30km a break of 13 riders went which included Hanachi. They were soon joint by another 6 riders and we all thought that this will be the brake of the day. At 1 stage they had over the 4 min on the main peleton but at about 40km to go David decided that our CSC/Marcello team must start working in the front. The team worked like you have never seen before and brought the brake back to under 1min with 15km to go. Our team kept the presure high and caught the brake with less than 500meters to the finish. Our team finished all in the bunch and I am still comfident that we are going to pull something off. Stage 7 starts again at 10 and will be from Gangjin - Hamyang and will cover a distance of 183.2 km with a very steep climb after 155km - 28km before the finish. We are sleeping again on the floor tonight but it is a very clean place. The food are nice with plenty RICE and RICE and more RICE. No jokes. We are getting good food and the organising is also good. The team are all on the internet and will soon be on the way to the hard bed on the floor. Till later. Cheers Chris
