  1. He was racing for the championship. Its was his last option. Rosberg could grow a pair and try to overtake . I dont know why they had to give hamolton instructions, no matter what the outcome mercedes would win both championships anyway
  2. And its an old marzocchi bomber z1 160mm up front Myles
  3. 44mm head tube and a normal straight steerer fork. The head angle on the shova is 69° which is too steep for what i wanted. So i got 2 44mm diameter cups machined that have a 34mm hole in them offset by 3mm and angled at 2,5°. So pop them into the headtube then run a standard headset and there you go, 66,5° head angle. You could do it for any OS head tube with a standard fork, the shorter the head tube the more angle you can run. Got them machined by kd engineer in stickland for 900 bucks
  4. Old bike, new colours and custom machined headset cups that relax the head angle by 2,5 degrees
  5. As far as access to the farms in the constantia valley, the two main problems were people possibly riding where they were not supposed to, and the farmers wives not so keen on the idea. This is just something I heard offhand , dont know all the ins and outs. But would you really want a bunch of smelly mtbers on your back garden? Or would your wife....
  6. Ok so basically waiting on indemnity from Sanparks to open a temp route.
  7. Any new news on whats going on? I heard that there was a plan to have access soon.
  8. What happens at a river crossing, does your bike suddenly electrocute you?
  9. 6 . I have no money Really, cant even afford to pay attention at the moment
  10. Whats the cost for a day permit and can you buy it at the entrance? Im not renewing the activity card untill tokai reopens
  11. I saw a post from table mountain bikers on Facebook that silvermine west is officially open to all users as from today. Can anyone confirm this?
  12. anyone have any idea when silvermine and the noordhoek trail might be open again?
  13. I saw a truck and double trailer of pine trunks come past my house today in muizenberg. Most weren't burned but a few were black. If you take a close look at the mountain there are several areas that are coming out at the same time. The Pumptrack at Uitsig is a great vantage point...
  14. Well there are literally truck loads of trees coming out on a daily basis so its happening, but its still a massive area to clear

    MotoGP

Nevermind all that, how intense was the moto3 race?!?!?
  16. Doing a protest march is a bit like unemployed people striking for jobs. Not really gonna accomplish much....
  17. its basically going to be a race for the final podium place all season.
  18. The only real test of driver skill is between team mates. Alonso better than Raikkonnen. Vettel better than Webber. Hamilton slightly better than Rosberg. Peesonally I think Alonso is the best driver I the field but hes gonna be beaten by the rookies this year if that honda powerplant doesnt improve. No driver can make up 3 seconds a lap over others in similar cars.
  19. That Mclaren honda can only get better from here..
  20. Half way? At that pace they will be lapped by lap 14!
  21. Looks like the mercs have a bigger advantage than last year! 1,3 seconds is millions of dollars in f1 terms. Good to see all the rookies doing well, I think that will be the battle to watch this year. Sainz vs Verstappen , the precursor of future championship battles perhaps?
  22. Black hill to red hill is still legal for mtb use as far as I can remember. No real singletrack just jeep track but better than nothing. constantia uitsig bike park has a small xc loop but bigger things possibly on the horizon...
  23. that idea has been bouncing around for a good few years already
  24. You must have had to dig deep to find this old thread...
  25. 2nd british driver
