I just bought a set of those giant pedals today for R350 but they are the unsealed version. Same bodies and those pins are RAZOR sharp when new. And I know that the axles are strong cos I hit a stump in tokai on Wednesday and bent the old ones , as well as the end of my Hussefelt crank. Also did a nutsac to bars followed by a faceplant.......

To the OP, that article was aimed at the trail bike/enduro style of riding which is becoming more and more popular by the day. The upgrades listed will work on any decent trail bike that needs a bit of modernising. And I finally got a subscription to Dirt magazine, the best mtb mag of all time.

I have 3 bikes, all 26ers. I am happy with them in every way except the possibility of not being able to get decent spares soon. And to change to 650b means new frames forks etc which I cant afford at all. I would love a new trance x 650b or maybe a sc nomad or bronson even but hells bells the money is crazy.

nice work on dh2 as well. That rock drop half way down caught me off guard this morning, only realised that it was twice the size that it used to be once I was off the lip. Luckily there wasnt a new landing. And that new berm and jump is rad!!!

Just ignore the mercs as if they are in a different category and its quite an interesting race for 3rd place. Lets hope that Monaco throws up some changes. Wet race anyone? Maybe a Senna type drive for a Williams victory or Kyvat on the podium or something. Who was it that did all the kamikaze style overtaked there a year or two ago?

The guys I ride with ride the same bikes until they fall apart. Then scour the hub for another old 26er for cheap and keep going. I currently have 3 really cool bikes, a morewood izimu , kona coiler and azonic steelhead that all together cost me under 20k

I am going to cut back the weeds on the corners on the snake trails on friday. its getting ridiculois when you cant even see the corners, nevermind rail the berms cos the bush hooks your bars. and those little rock gardens are getting super tech. almost dh track stuff....

Still got it? I have a couple of guys at our factory that would love to get a bike to ride to work.

someone needs to trim the bush, so to speak. One can hardly get the round some of the corners without sticking a handlebar into some or other alien shrubbery. If it gets left like it is by spring the whole trail will have dissapeard

If Dirt magazine was available locally I would buy it every month, its waaaaay better than any other mag, and focuses mainly on dh, enduro etc. Buy tread every now and then but only if it has something in it worth reading. Im not interested in marathon racing or xc 29ers.

So who needs a bike shop when you can get a dogma frame off the interweb for seven grand...
