  1. Ahh, youthful exuberance
  2. A trebochet, I'm all ears and eyes!
  3. Interesting, along the coast here it has to be kiln dried CCA, so don't have the moisture problem. But yes, you need to finely select your stock
  4. Dear Pethubbers, I'm in search of two Irish Terrier puppies, either from the same or diffirent litters, to act as companions to my two sons aged nearly seven and 10. If you know of a nice family or breeder, please pm me. Thanks Ed
  5. I'm with you on this one...all pallet wood is cut from either A grade or sub A grade. And if you understand pine timber grading in this country, that means it sawn from s h i t! Often times also sawn from juvinile pine. Like isetech has shown, you can turn it into really nice functional furniture, i just think it's a fad like fat bikes (see what I did there, so bad ).
  6. May I ask why pallets? Do you have a bunch that you have access to? Truss pine is also very cost effective 38 x 114 x 3.0m only cost R69 with CCA treatment at the coast
  7. One of those "what a brilliant idea" that will work twice and give you s h i t forever after
  8. Some of these without lids? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/7163pCL-iPL._SL1500_.jpg

  10. I'm in the market for a carvers mallet, but with a short handle (about 110% of the legth of the head)?
  11. Those were the days!
  12. Showed the kids how to make big-ass ones with a box of matches...took extra cover on the lapa roof since
  13. Hmmm...
  14. What I really like is your grasp of proportions and shape for this piece. Very nice and R70 well spent
  15. Even Toyota has sunk to those depths. the current Hi-Lux is a copy of the US Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. And there is no disputing the Fortuner was designed along the lines of the SangYong suv from the early 2000's. Seems fresh ideas are tough to come by
  16. That ring is not usable, have a KNK curry and the same happens
  17. Thanks Hairy, been following his channel for some time. He would've done well on here, he goes off topic quite regularly
  18. Got round to cleaning these two ladies the weekend. Recently purchased Stanley 51 <USA> - discontinued in 1953 Stanley 151 <UK> - UK made 1911till 1996 (US produced them from 1911 - 1978) The 151 is fitted with a Stanley Sweetheart blade and was quite laborious to sharpen. I still need to clean some paint in the throat areas as they both have post production paint and chatter a bit under strain. The 51 is much better ergonomically than the 151
  19. Traveling mallet,
  20. OCD Armpies sees that and he'll be bleeding from the eyeballs Armpies, Armpies come in, over?
  21. You can cook on tambotie, you have to wait for it to turn to hot coals with zero smoke and then there is no problem; but let there be smoke and you'll spend some time in hospital after the steak
  22. I absolutely love what you do with scraps Le Turbo, masterful!
  23. Golden rule of how to keep your friends and family honest
  24. Come to think of it; Ryobi and Avid probably employed form the same school
