  1. BIG FulGaz supporter (same company as Rouvy). Rouvy purchased FulGaz - and gave notice it is being shut down/merged with Rouvy. HUGE outcry from the public and for now FulGaz stays and is being enhanced. Sure it does not have a ton of bells and whistles than maybe Zwift, Rouvy or even Whoosh. But I would carefully assume that 90% of users do not care about these fancy bells and whistles. They want a nice ride, great video (FulGaz = 4k, Rouvy = 2k I think) and smooth interface. FulGaz ticks all the boxes, and it is much cheaper than Rouvy. Their route library is HUUUUUGE and cater to all needs!
  2. If you look at details on website: Freehub Standard Shimano 11-speed (Campagnolo N3W and Sram XDR freehub are available separately) As per my bikeshop feedback: "....work as micro spline won't fit on that wheelset, and they will luanch the wheelset with micro spline but they can't give a timeline"
  3. Agreed and was told it is on the cards for the next iteration of gravel wheels but no timelines can be given - so they lost a deal there I am afraid.
  4. Unfortunately discovered that the wheelset does not support 12spd Microspline cassettes. Dealbreaker for me. Now looking at Zero Two Wheels - a bit more expensive but looks solid as well. My son has them on his dual suspension and have dealt with many offroad events very well. Zero issues (excuse the pun) ..and they support microspline.
  5. Thank you - I have reached out to my bike shop for a more formal quote on the wheels. There are a few reviews on the road wheels, and they all rate these wheels very positively.
  6. I am considering buying a set of carbon wheels for my gravel bike - is there somewhere I can look/get idea around pricing?
  7. I am having an unhealthy itch to supplement my current Gravel Wheelset (Easton EA 70 AX) with an Exar Carbon GR45 Pro Gravel wheelset. Anyone has experience with them? Quality? Hubs? They seem to be priced quite reasonably compared to other brands which most are at double the price - and we know you pay more for the brand that the actual product.
  8. I see mails speaking of parking areas with associated colours etc. I see no such thing. Even the mail I received refers to a video for venue info etc that when you click on it does not even exist. I am struggling to get info. I assume coming from Pta one needs to take Ben Naude Dr as N17 will be closed by 5AM. I also assume we need to be in our starting pens about 30-45mins beforehand?
  9. Awesome - this link works!
  10. How does Tiz-Cycling work? Right now UAE Tour Stage 4 is busy, but all TIZ Cycling is showing is below pic.
  11. Read an article over the weekend that was done with one of the Warner Brothers big bosses. I could not help observe some tone of arrogance. Also an attitude that sounded like - "we only in reality need a third of our user base to jump to the new price to break even - the rest can cancel". Wow....the article concluded that this will do much more damage than good to get people on board to watch cycling.
  12. VPN may work?
  13. Ok - so since GCN+ plus closed and I made every human effort possible to switch to Discovery+ with billing via an UK account, I get the notification yesterday that Eurosport is pulling the plug in the UK/Ireland and will no longer be available as a streaming channel on the standard 7 pounds/month package. You can continue to watch Eurosport by upgrading to the 31 pounds/month package. WTFudge...????? But Eurosport will continue to stream as separate channels on Discovery+ under the standard package - as long as it is outside the UK/Ireland. WTFudge..??!!! Darnit!!!!! Now need to find penpals in some foreign country to organise billing. My day is ruined!!!!
  14. No Milo this year? - Milo and milk was my favourite last year!
  15. At the risk of it being mentioned before (apologies if it has)..... Interesting observation: 21 Teams Total. 17 on Shimano Dura Ace. Only 4 on SRAM AXS. Shimano still clearly the favourite. Isn't it the other way around when it comes to MTB's? SRAM there more popular?
  16. Watching all my cycling via discovery+. Works perfectly and is exactly like GCN+ used to be - even with usual commentators. I had to jump through a few hoops (see below - nothing difficult) - but once done - I watch with no issues at all.
  17. Must be..and the 151 other riders in the peloton on disc brakes had no issues.
  18. Agree - he would make a most awesome DS. I am sure he has enough gezillions to retire in comfort and put so much back into the sport. I just personally feel his insistence to continue and overselling his capabilities now does more harm than good.
  19. Criterium-du-dauphine: After Stage 2....I have the world of respect for Froom - he is a legend! But......Finished yesterday way way behind the peloton, behind many sprinters. Was there an issue? None that I could see/hear. It was a hilly stage, but by no means considered a big mountain stage. Those are still coming. And he still persists he really wants to get into the team's TdF squad. Froomie - buddy - perhaps it really is time to move on. You do not have to proof yourself to anyone anymore. Your palmarès speaks for itself!
  20. Noticed the website contains profile and other info TX!! But I see no info in terms of race registration - when and where?
  21. My membership account now states: I recall it was $14.99 last month
  22. Yup saw that - so will likely be around $23 after taxes I guess. That is becoming quite steep. Yes one can argue it is the first price increase in (I think) 5 years - but still - that is ouch. FulGaz is a lot cheaper! Guess I will cancel today (again)
  23. Yup you can watch on demand. Has a scroll bar that you can drag back at any time or again click the "Live" button to jump back to live feed.
  24. Just for info - use it don't use it. 1. Subscribed to NordVPN . Just got charged $93 for 28 months. About 60 bucks a month. Very very easy. 2. Created a "dummy" gmail account and entered all details UK based. Very very easy 3. On my Android TV Box simply signed in with this UK gmail user. Very very easy 4. On my Android box installed NordVPN App and logged onto UK server. Very very easy 5. Android TV Box immediately assumed I am UK based and viola the Discovery+ App was available to download from Google App store. Very very easy 6. Subscribed to Discovery+ via the web. Very very easy. 7. Arranged with a friend in the UK to log in using my Discovery+ credentials and subscribed to Discovery+ with her UK Credit Card. About 7 Pounds/month. Not so easy - as one need a friend with a UK Card willing to do this. 8. Use whatever means there is to transfer 7 Pounds from your account to friend's UK account. Very very easy but be clever about it as international SWIFT fees could be expensive. Pay your friend a year in advance and only pay one SWIFT transfer fee. 9. On Android Box where Discovery+ is installed, you are signed in with your Google UK Account and your NordVPN is logged onto a UK server - it works perfectly. Eurosport Sport and many other channels and all in HD. Yes I have a fairly good fibre line but this Sunday watched Paris-Roubaix buffer free with the usual GCN gang doing commentary - before, during and after the race. Loved it!! All in all a fairly easy process. Dare I say: Very very easy? 🤣
  25. So finally got a "friend" in the UK to use his card to subscribe me to Discovery Plus. With a VPN and a little tweak here and a little tweak there, I am fully on Discovery Plus watching cycling on Euro Sport in HD quality (ZERO BUFFERING). I am soooooooo happy again! Proper commentary, no adds and lots of coverage! There is hope in this world! 😀
