  8. I wish I knew how to read/follow this Strava thing. Have no idea where he is. Hope to hell he makes Sheppie by nightfall. Not a pleasant road to be riding on at nightfall (or at any time for that matter)
  9. How are you going to know the way into Durban via the coastal road? We will have to connect.

  13. Ah, fellow traveller. There is a guy, Grant Freeme at Touring SA google) who sells these for touring. I think I have a post post mount fitting for a rack lying about. Will check this evening. You are welcome to the whole unit for zip.
  14. Cool. I will be around. See you there or abouts. (I am the oke with the limp)
  15. i can try and have a look for you. I know zip about bait boats but am in the fishing game.
  16. Yes, this is also one of the reasons Frail is riding up. Leave again for Cape Town after the Tour d'Urban. Madness!!
  17. I would certainly suggest the ride along the Beach Front. It will be slow but you will get plenty of mileage from the public.. I would suggest, Esplanade to Ushaka, (meet up with casual riders???) and then the slow 3.5km flatride to Moses Mabida along the beach front......
  18. Come on guys and girls, lets all try and meet FRAIL along the way. Do our Saturday ride in a bunch into Durban. I can transport five bikes along the way if needed. Just bring yourselves to pedal. Have a nice Saturday ride for a great reason and have jol along the way?

Would be wary of this route on a road bike though...... I think it best via OFS?

  22. I will meet you halfway. Will try and bring some mates.
  23. I hope to be at Double Mouth over Easter and will have my bike. Don't know of any trails in that area but I am sure to find some place to ride.
  24. Hi FRAIL Respect! GREAT RESPECT!! Have just done the route via Free State and that is *** as well. There is no shoulder in places and because it is flat, the lorries can get up to very high speeds and the tail starts wagging the dog. But I guess you know all about the truck factor. I definitely would NOT do the Transkei!!!!!! (We need you alive) Just my 2c.
  25. Too little clearance and too short at the back? IMHO
