  1. Just dropping in to let you know the popular Saffa way of transporting your bike is alive and well up here in the Netherlands 😅 The hatchback boot carrier is very much the unicorn in these parts 🤣 . Left the pool noodles at home cause we only had one bike up 🙌🏻
  2. Picked up these almost new MTB 29er (ALEX) rims and (Schwalbe) tyres for gratis from a local resident here by me last weekend - my humble Avalanche 29er is using stock rims and rubber and I want to see if it's worth me tryna get this to fit. Several apparent issues, thru axle vs quick release (on my Avalanche - see pic), cassette compatability, etc... Opinions welcome on if it's too much drama to get the new rims on my bike and if I should get rid of them (the rims) and simply retain the rubber?
  3. Yeah, did the barrel twists which ultimately made a large enough impact for me to be comfy riding. . Changed the chain last week (with a Shimano 12spd chain) which was all good, until the quick link gave drama and wouldn't seat going over the chainring. Replaced it with the old, used KMC quick link and voila, drama gone 🙃🙂 . Derailleur is rusted and the paint has talked off and the pivot is "sloppy" - time to replace it I'd say. To use the Ltwoo RD again or use a Shimano variant? . I love the frame and am loathe to buy a new bike in € when I can do minor upgrades and keep this one.
  4. Lol for the greasy fingerprints 💯 That is one fine piece of equipment though 🤌🏼, a mate always told me to check my BMI first before I head into the sub 8kg zone on a road bike 🤣🤣 Less croissants and more wattzzzz
  5. I've got a small French Press (around 240ml) that cost about ZAR120 for day to day coffee and a 4 cup Bialetti Moka (ZAR 750) for a good "luxurious" coffee 👌🏼👌🏼 . Simple grinder, your choice of beans and boom, there you have it. The process is enjoyable and the coffee is 🤌🏼🤌🏼
  6. Solid 💪🏻 - Onze fietsenstalling is voorzien van een Beer Gear opstelling - Echter niet geschikt voor mensen 😄😄 - our Weber braai is safe and sound too 😁
  7. @MORNE Well, my rear derailleur isn't the prettiest of set ups to be honest as it's not nip and tuck and it's got a lazy swingarm look about it 🤣🤣, if that counts as a high pivot (seen here with a 36t chainring)
  8. Tks, do they sell them with a standard amount of links?
  9. Advice on replacing my AVALANCHE Ltwoo AX 1x12 MTB chain - they reckon Shimano is a good option, but there are several different options. Which would be the most suitable?
  10. Out of experience and by seeing them in action here, Jura machines are ♠️ no doubt 🙌🏻, but I've reinvested in one of these since I left mine back home - winning.....😎 Grind my beans and brew the goodness
  11. The towbar options is pretty neat (nearly tucked away until you use it, but around €399 😭)
  12. Champion, thanks 👍🏻
  13. Ya, might be the overall best suited option. Will check around for that as a plan B 👍🏻
  14. Yep, I'm in the NL and these devices aren't seen anywhere. Towbar mounted devices mainly. Longest journey would be about 200kms at a time 👍🏻
