  1. I have some worrying thoughts as well, If a tree falls on a mime in the forest when no one is around, does he cry? This bugs me personally...
  2. I'm a very cunning linguist Keith!!
  3. Its a power meter thingy.
  4. Exactly Delgado!
  5. Pimp those bars Keith!! Shiny white ones will be killer!! Just like my head!!!
  6. Dude, more buttons, flashing lights and cool sounding 'beeps' are what you should be looking for!!!
  7. Whats wrong with Stellenbosch? I thought all the Uber Babes hung out there? Or was it Camps Bay?
  8. I had some "Riot Police tear gas" from back in the day. Kept it in the car for emergencies...one night we were being followed by undesirables, so my mate held it out the window and let rip. Bad plan, very bad plan!! The car behind had to stop, but so did we!! That stuff was so potent!!
  9. Not joking, I have an old(very very old) AVOCET 30. I love it, and its never wrong...and the functions are so basic!! But I'd say get a CATEYE...they are not too pricey, and they do last..
  10. Preach it Onetime!!!
  11. The coppers in Stellenbosch gassed you E1A104?! What were you doing? Harrassing a lamp post?!
  12. No KonaFan...but it will give you the 'hottie' feeling!!! Who has ever been 'tear gassed?!' I assure you, its not pleasant!!! And no, I was not gassed by a girl...so spare the jokes all you funny guys!!!
  13. Smith and Wesson...they made all men equal! And there will be no fake red blood either!!! The stuff it leaves is real!!!
  14. Man that bike is cool!!! If only road bikes could look as 'Bruiser' as that!!! I'd take 2!!!
  15. Hey Bob! It was an account we sent out...took 1week!! Can you believe it?!
  16. Yip...but only if you are really lucky Fiasm!! I sent a letter to someone literally at the bottom of our road...1week!!!
  17. I read that Mampara, hopefully they will look better. I just dont like that plastic thingy thats under the hood. But I remember when the new style Campagnolo levers came out in the late 90's...I thought they were the fugliest things ever!! Now they look cool... That prototype carbon crank did look nice though...
  18. Sorry, but I think its very ugly!! I'm sure it will work fantastically, but they could have made the levers look nicer... But, I do think the calipers look nice... Just my opinion... Wonder what it will cost?
  19. Mallo, your right. I tried to put on an event...could not even get a reply to my emails, or phone calls. Nice...
  20. 11.1 Under 16? Damn thats fast, even for a senior! Good luck to him. And lets hope KZN can get an indoor wooden track...
  21. Thanks Controlc! Its wierd trying to put things into writing! I started to panic halfway through that!!
  22. Try pumping the tube slightly first and 'lifting' the tube into the tyre. The tube should be well fitted inside the tyre, and on the rim before you attempt putting the 'beading' into the clincher. Do as much as possible by hand, and this should leve you with only a small amount of tyre left. Then take the 'tyre lever' and slot it in between the tyre and the rim wall and just push it along and the tyre will 'pop' on to the rim. It saves trying to 'lever' the tyre onto the rim, and with the little bit of air it will keep it from pinching. Hell, I hope that made sense?!?!
  23. It may sound corny, but what Chunky has "FORGOTTEN", these other guys are yet to learn about the track... He would be such a valuble asset to the countries track cycling squads... Me on the other hand, I'm really good at pumping wheels!!!
  24. I'm keen, as I have said all along... I think the riders would be very fortunate to benefit from Chunky. His is the experience that the riders all need, he's raced the best in the track cycling world, to lose him is a tragedy.
  25. You know, its something I would love to be involved with. I would gladly stand. Late last year I was prepared to put on another league for CGC, tried to contact the existing commitee, but never heard anything in return. I was prepared to put my own money down in prize money, and I have someone prepared to put down money plus a vehicle for prize money. There are other interested parties out there. I know what goes into the track, coz it was virtually run from my house in the '90's. And Chunky & I were the founding members of Greenbows club...the club Mr Scullard promised us would promote the track. It only took a couple weeks for him to get everyone else out of power in CGC once he was elected, and just as short a period of time to go back on his word and scoop the sponsorship for himself. These people do not deserve to be in the seats they are today. Chunky can offer so much to the track riders. Sure there is the subject of what has happened with Chunky, but he can give so much more to the racing cyclists than we are willing to admit. I for one know its time we started focusing on the youngsters on their way up, and not on the "never were's" that run/ride/organise now. But I will put my money were my mouth is. Pity Grenville does not...GreyOwl2008-03-25 14:05:34
