Jotrack, one thing...'Professional' and 'Central Gauteng' can never be used in the same sentence...Ever. Why not slate them? It needs to be done, and they need to be shamed into changing their ways. Its a crock I tell you. Chunky's not wrong, its a Zim mentality. And I challange anyone to tell me that what is going on at the track, and with regard to the track is right. Its time they were removed, they have done NOTHING for the younger riders who have the potential. All they are interested in is Vets racing, and Greenbow's personal training. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE...

Hmmm...I made several inquiries as to when and where the AGM would be. Never got a reply. Not one, and believe me I was/am ready to go and listen to all the excuses...especially when I get to look these people in the eyes when they are giving them. I know its pointless moaning, but I also feel its pointless inquiring, coz you still get nothing.

This thread should read like an Obituary... It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the untimely passing of track cycling in Central Gauteng. It lived a good life, made many a hero, and gave birth to more legends. Sadly, it suffered its last few years with us. And in the hands of a Megalomaniacal man, it was suffocated and ultimately killed. It now resides in a place of purgatory, and those responsible have yet to be brought to justice. Well, The JOCK didnt suit me, so I had to make do with the circuit races!!! Remember Leondale? That was cool, and I remember being in a break there with you Bob!! (But neither of us won!! Damn Gavignon!!)

Top Star was a good circuit. I always enjoyed Top Star, Germiston Lake and that one around Krugersdorp 'Quay West' shopping centre! Those were good races. Pity there are no kermesse (crash mess!!) races these days...

Yip Bob...I remember those races! And the original Zoo Lake circuit and finish was so cool!!! Remember the Schools races we used to do around Germiston Lake? I lived for those! I'm sure part of my buttock is still ingrained on the road at SunnyPark!!!
