  1. Hey, do you guys think this light rain is a good or a bad thing?
  2. I think you're right. I'm in the C group, and that can't be right either. I don't even have a 100% seeding.
  3. Don't forget to have your coffee and go to the toilet before the race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I did see an accident with ambulances, etc. on Marine Drive, just before the N1 on-ramp. There was a guy lying on the road in front of a taxi. I didn’t see any bicycle though. I hope he wasn’t a cyclist, because he should not be riding on that road anyway.
  5. Does anyone know when or where registration is?
  6. About 1 km.
  7. I ended up riding it on the way home yesterday. Just couldn't resist. It's not that bad, but still not worth the risk. I wander who put that sign there? I did also see the extension to the cycle lane. But where is it going?
  8. Has anyone ridden the "MTB Single Track" section, behind the factories in Milnerton? What's it like? It makes me nervous.
  9. I just moved to Table VIew recently and I am looking for a few safe road circuits in and around Table View / Durbanville area. All the nice roads I've found have no shoulders or are highways and I don't like riding them at all. Anyone got a few good 60km to 100km routes around that area?
  10. I rate they should make certain sections access controlled areas. Pay to enter or have a green card. It might end up being used more often, because more people will feel safer.
  11. It's the Honey Trail in the Garden Route. You guys should definately check it out. My link
  12. What catagory does the Bridal Way fall under? I passed someone riding up it on Saturday. I think this should be a no-no.
  13. Anyone got a good training program for a 3 day stage race (in about 12 weeks) ?
  14. I'm taking a chance here, but I lost my multi tool at Tokai on Saturday. It was nothing special, but I grew quite attached to the little guy. If anyone picked it up, please let me know. Thanks (is this the right section?)
  15. They were riding on their rims with no tyres on?
  16. You can always just get a smaller chainring or a bigger sprocket...
  17. While you're at it, give it a quick sand with some sandpaper, before you clean it. Your next 40 stops will be much quicker!
  18. Sorry to raise this topic again, but where can I get the adapter that you need to be able to pressurize the damper chamber with a shock pump?
  19. So I want to replace the seal head rings in the IFP chamber now. The problewm is I don't have one of these: http://www.adrenalinebikes.com/Images/Thumbnail/RS3001.JPG It's an adapter that you screw into the bottom schrader valve to be able to pressurize the IFP chamber. Does anyone know where I can get one?
  20. Are you guys refering "Down Hill" to the actual Down Hill sections, or just the single track?
  21. Cool, so I got all my bearings out this weekend. Thanks for all the help guys. Next question: I've got an air can service kit for my rear shock, which is pretty straight forward to replace. The thing that I'm not sure about is the damper assembly inside. All articles I have read say DO NOT OPEN!!! Do I need to do anything to this assembly? Before I stripped it, I bottomed out a few times quite badly, because of the sudden loss of air. Which parts take a beating when you bottom out? I think it's inside the damper assembly. The shock did start leaking oil as well, but I think it might just have been the float fluid, because of the air seals being toast.
  22. Just got my service kit for my rear Rock Shox Monarch 4.2 and it comes with brand new DU bushings 1 problem solved, 4,120,967,425,361 to go...
  23. Will try that, thanks. Do you have a commencal?
  24. This sleeve has the same ID as the bearings, so I can't get any "grip" on the inside of the bearing to punch it out...
  25. But the pins basically only hold the bearings / bushings in place. They are not supposed to move around. I am just going to remove all the burrs and scratches that are causing the OD to be bigger in certain spots. I am not reducing the majority of the pins' OD. I think they will be fine! Most of the bearings look fine, but when I move the linkages they almost "click" along and move in steps. Typical sign of impact damage to bearing races. I will replace them all!
