  1. Don't buy a second-hand Spez. Plain and simple. There are many other makes that go for decent prices second-hand.
  2. Lesson learnt. School fees paid. Funny enough my son said I should not redo the piece. He would be fine with the rack as it is with the mark . I told him it would bother me and he said he is the customer. Now waiting for me new RO 150 FEQ Plus. Finally had it with my 22 year old Black & Decker strykyster. Always struggle to get paper for it and it throws dust everywhere. With my asthma I decided the investment would be worth the while to get a sander with proper dust collection.
  3. Agreed. But you would not expect it too happen on a bit you have run for a few minutes from new out of the box. As I said, bought it Monday. Bought some better thread locker today and tightened the bearing down. BTW, have you people seen the latest pricing for Locktite branded thread locker? Absolutely crazy.
  4. Thanks. I also found Whiteside router bits somewhere on an SA site. Double what I paid for the Pro-Tech, but at the price of premium wood these days one cannot have cheap tools ruin your project in a few seconds what you spent hours on working carefully and accurately because you cannot afford to scrap the wood for a second go.
  5. Just a heads up. Stay away from Pro-Tech router bits. I just ruined a bookcase I was building because the trimmer bit malfunctioned. Half a sheet worth of 21mm Birch ply stuffed up. The screw that holds the bearing came loose while I was trimming an edge causing the bit to take away more material than it should have. Never in my life will I touch that crap again. Problem is that we don't have much options here in ZA. And I just bought it on Monday. So it was brand new. Most probably they used the cheapest thread lock in existence.
  6. Many years ago we did a muddy race at Welvanpas. It was lots of fun and nobody died. My son's BB was stuffed after that race, but that is MTBing. The Europeans would laugh at us stopping a MTB race because of rain and mud.
  7. I have vowed never to support another Val de Vie race ever after the clusterfuck of a Stellies Cycle Tour they had there few years ago. We were stuck trying to park for almost 2 hours.
  8. I was there that day. It was hectic. My set of tekkies were ruined. It looked like I had muddy gumboots on. My son had an awesome race that day.
  9. Yes, I knew about that, But it also makes the font size bigger. I don't want the font size to increase also.
  10. How can I make the actuall content wider? It is quite narrow.
  11. I can recommend Inheritance. It is not nearly as bad as the critics claim. Certainly much better than much of the garbage we are fed these days.
  12. Mine came second in an altercation with a barbed wire fence.
  13. Yes, have seen a German at our field many years ago fly a glider that made some insane speeds on the downslope. Those airfoils are extremely thin.
  14. Oh boy! Sterkte.
  15. LOL WOOD SHAVING MACHINE Ad definitely placed by a rock spider.
  16. I just watched The King on Netflix. Was very pleasantly surprised and to me it was very good. Do yourselves a favour and watch it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7984766/ I rate it higher the the 7.2 it got on IMDB. I would rate it a 8.5. The acting was simply put, brilliant in this film. A want to see more of this sort of stuff.
  17. You just entered the rabbit hole. Welcome. It's all downhill from here. If you do in future pick up a plane that says Made In USA, guard it with your life. Not many of those about in SA unfortunately.
  18. If you have to draw pictures to explain to your system builder what the problem is you need a new system builder. Any builder that is even slighly informed and intelligent will flash the MOBO BIOS to the latest spec before they even start a build or upgrade.
  19. Can't go wrong with Scotland!
  20. I get that response all the damn time.
  21. That and the fact that it is so very unpractical. Many people just do not realise how destructive silica or materials containing high amounts of silica are on cutting edges.
  22. I have the same paving. All of about 120 square meters of it. Yes, gonna cost a lot to replace. And yes, constant spraying of herbicides to get rid of weeds.
  23. I think the shop sold him a MOBO from old stock and that the BIOS will need to be updated to support Ryzen 5000 CPUs. https://edgeup.asus.com/2020/guide-update-your-asus-motherboards-bios-for-amd-ryzen-5000-series-processors/ Also make sure that when you set the memory speed in BIOS, that you start of lowish and ramp it up higher. AMD has had issues with RAM compatibility in the past. I am not convinced that they have sorted that out entirely with the latest Zen 3 processors.
