So much anger.... I think more people should ride ebikes and be happy ...

Just like W2W . ebikers are only allowed in the mid week event ... that's perfect.

Im reading it as it is.. One person had a bad experience with a unskilled ebiker and now assumes all ebikers are unskilled fat and lazy ... I can promise you there are just as many unskilled riders on normal bikes going these events, including W2W which I have done numerous times on an analog. I have often had to wait on single track cause a very fit rider got off his bike to walk a "technical section" on many a race. You also assume that because someone is on a ebike they are not enjoying the ride.??? Really ? Sani2Sea is happy to take money from ebikers ... so the ebiker has just as much right to enjoy the trails that area and ride has to offer. Eventually they will figure out how to accommodate both. but for now, either start in the front batch if you training so hard... or learn to show a little compassion to those folk who are not as gifted with bike handling skills as you apparently are. We can't all be Chris Akrigg. First price would be have separate events.. and may ebikers would gladly do that, but that reality is not there yet.

You will eventually get your dream ... but right now the market is to small to have separate events ... eventually there will be and you and ebikers will both be happy.

Ebikes are racing other ebikes at Sani ... they in there own category ...

Cause normal bikes bore me.

Or , don't allow battery swaps (or rucksacks with batteries) ... that way they are forced to conserve battery and ride in the lowest possible setting ... I kind of like that idea ... it then becomes a race within a race ... not only to finish .... but manage your energy and battery for the distance .

The eBikes will eventually catch you on hill and pass you. What I would love to see is mass start ..but then ebikers peel of on a more challenging route ... bigger climbs ... more rocks and roots and janky as **** downhills ... then join again towards the finish ... That would be living the dream.

Maybe I do both ... Play my Xbox in the week and my ebike on the weekends .. have to at least try an do all the tricks I can do in the verse ... Not really a gamer ... only game I every downloaded was Command and Conquer but my computer was to slow to play it so gave up

UCI has now approved ebikes

They were when everyone else was still on 26ers ... and they were fighting for the same podium. and they are faster on open ground.

I love how people on this forum assume that because you on a Ebike you are slow on the decent ...

I dont understand your hatred to them. Let people be and stop judging everyone. Next you going to go on about someone using a TV remote or garage door opener cause they to lazy to get up and manually change the channel? Not everyone aspires to get the best FTP numbers, or PB's I gave up caring what other people do when 29ers came out ... That was cheating ...

I agree on that. But that applies to most riders. Wait your turn. There will always be bottlenecks. If you on singltrack you stay in line. if you on jeep track/ gravel roads and there is space to pass then sure.

Maybe they don't want recognition or a medal .. they just want to ride awesome trails that they can't ride without the event.

Crazy and scary at the same time. Hope they replace the bike and hope this does not put her off the joys of ebiking.

That would be Ideal .. I don't like riding with analog riders ... they slow the uphill-flow and make things un-intresting and boring and listening to them talk about FTP's and 8% body fat the whole time is exhausting.😚 At the moment there are no eBike specific events, but once those evil Ebikers get enough footprint, so that a ebike only event can be supported, I am sure they will start popping up.. I personally can't wait. So until then ill have to slum it with the 1900's folk
