  1. Ah ok .. I don't commute.. ever... so ignore my comment then
  2. They musty have legs like track sprinters to get the bike that fast ... my skinny legs struggle I suppose on steep long sections the ebike does plough through the rough faster ... you don't get pinged off line.
  3. No, I think on the normal bike I can easy get up to 40km/h on str8 or flat sprint sections. On the ebike once you hit that limit it is extremely difficult to pedal faster than say 28km/h the only place the ebike has an advantage is going up or accelerating out of slow corners from what I have felt
  4. I am faster on my Normal bike than my ebike (Downhill and flat that is) after 25km/h on my ebike its like peddling in thick mud. I can even show my strava times in tokai, downhills my Mojo HD3 is faster than my Levo.
  5. Great video ... Don't pay attention to the haters . And as for the beer stop mid ride (even though it was not) ... Heck on my first Wines2Wales race we had a Wine bar on top of that horrible last climb, and was really good wine.
  6. My Saturday afternoon group rides includes a mandatory beer stop at the round house ..... But since Corona its at the club house
  7. Thanks, will give the Garmin strap a go ... had a look and all seems to be intact on the back , so no crack ... will see how it goes, thanks
  8. Hi I find the wrist HR on the Garmin 935 seems to struggle to give me a good reading then MTBiking, Must be all the shaking around .... Often when I'm really pushing it my heart rate is sitting at 115bm , which I know is not correct. Want to try a Chest belt and pair it . I have tried pairing a Polar smart Bluetooth belt and it connects ...but does not show any heart rate (does when I pair it to my Iphone, so its not the belt) Can anyone tell me what would be the most reliable belt to pair with the 935 ? Thanks all
  9. The DBX 3.0 is the most comfortable helmet I have owned ... Does not have the same peacock value as a POC, but you can't go wrong with either. Both are fantastic lids.
  10. Uphlll KOM's are boring.. a good dose of Androxyn, Clembuterol, Nandralone and you 3/4 of the way there ..... Show us your DH KOM's ... those are way more fun and impressive For the record ... I have none up or down
  11. love my Levo ... and i would probably love this bike ....but afraid I don't have corrupt government tender money .... ill wait till they start going for second hand.... there is always something better on the horizon for those ahead of the curve to upgrade to
  12. Mint condition with a Cape Epic sticker on ...
  13. love this event, have done it every year... chilled ride... don't expect free runs in the single track though ... unless you group yourself in the race snake group.... take it for what it is... a chilled day in the saddle and you will have fun
  14. Just to chime in here... Short travel 29ers are really under rated, and you will be surprised what they can do. I am not the best rider, and I happen to be am lucky enough to own a 150/160mm (Ibis HD3) 650 bike and 110/120 (Tallboy 3) 29er. There are only a sections I would not try on the 29er that I can do on the 150mm enduro bike. But that is purely due to skill. Yes the one takes more finesse. but it is just as capable. That being said it will be very difficult to find a long travel trail bike that will not climb well now days. But if I had to have just one bike ... It would be a 120mm 29er. It can do everything well.
  15. have it on my tallboy, and it works really well there...so I though it would be great on my HD3 .. Nope .... had a awful ride on Sunday trying to find grip... so the DHR WT back on the front and Ive kept the Purgatory on the back... I find it does roll nicer than the Aggressor I took off. Both 2.3
  16. Agree on the butcher ... almost killed me this weekend.... putting my DHR back on. Though it would be nice to lighten the bike up with the butcher for general trail riding... but felt like I was tip-toeing over everything..
  17. Anyone hear the rant from a guy who rode Tokai and was overtaken by a Ebike ? Currently doing the rounds on what's app. Apparently he got so upset he trashed the guys bike in the parking lot.
  18. Had that exact same thought today cycling up to he mast at conties .... would love to smash out the DH run from the top multiple times .. Guess until then I will just have to be happy being a shuttle-cock once a month.
  19. easier to get a Ebike to get to the singletrack first and have clear run
  20. The other side is also true ... someone who is rather skilled at downhill but has to sit behind roadie MTB wannabe's on the downhill singletrack cause they all past his fat ass on the climb up .....
  21. Ok, just had a look at my strava ... Im no starva die hard but the only place I'm faster on the Ebike is on the climbs and who cares about those anyways, (I don't throw up after my meals to get up the hill faster) On the downhills and technical single track I'm faster on my enduro bike. Once you get to the that 25km speed limit its like peddling through sticky mud, where a normal bike can just sail over that speed on a downhill section. My only disappointment is I have to give the bike back as its not mine. Still want one
  22. IM with you this ... If I had the money I would buy one and smile all the way up to Armageddon ... and back again .. and again .... and again ...and again But I don't have the money... so until then ill have to go old school... @hairy ... don't be a hater .... try one first .... if it makes you smile then I doth see anything wrong with it
  23. Black on Black
  24. I see from the website the older PBR models can also benefit from this (although not free) do you have price to have the oder forks upgraded ?
