  1. Same thng will happen with just about any quality pair of polycarb lenses. Oakley used to have an ad along the same lines years ago. When I was still in optics we'd take a bunch of reject lenses and shoot the crap out of them.
  2. Bit of a private joke, friend of mine used to often say "come to the dark side, we have cookies" also applys to certain brands of camera amongst photographers, but thats summat else altogether ... you struggle to order hot dogs, forget about cookies? Just be grateful you gotit fatty!

  4. Yes, another one!... The dirt side might be the dark side, but we have cookies there!
  5. Maybe an aerial shot from the chopper, would be difficult to shoot from a static point.
  6. You want tea and cake? .... Girl
  7. It is a shame, I hope that Lenferna and his team are able to rescue the 2010 event. MTN might well be an option, considering their involvement, plus the mileage an event like this generates could go towards a considerable measurment of their branding strength.
  8. Since none of them are ''super rich ladies of leisure'' that should answer your sarcastic question. Some people also work flexi hours, do shift work, or are freelance contractors. So for them this would be perfect! Now, if the blokes would do something similar, but with a beer stop
  9. Where was this? On the dirt road past the quarrys that ends near the Police Station? Must say, it's the first time I've heard of an incident like this there. Good thing nothing happened and you kept your cool.
  10. Glad to hear he's on the mend, next thing he'll be in the wheelchair chasing nurses and escaping the matron

  16. Claim to fame, mate and I got bounced from the Volvo/Cannondale team zone by Missy, during the Stellenbosch World Cup
  17. Bear in mind, MBUK serves a different segment of the MTB population as well, unfortunately that market is not as large here. However, the more 'lifestyle' orientated market around MTB is huge here, that seems to be more what Tread is aiming at. So the comparison is pretty moot. Conent should come before gimmicks like gifts, speaking for myself I hardly have a use for the freebies and buy on content before anything else, especially at R80 upwards for the imported titles! Personaly I've been noticing more pages of ads in the UK mags lately and a bit of a 'lad mag' approach, although I still enjoy the Brit wit style of writing. Quality wise the Tread content is pretty much there, obviously the goal is to always improve. Also consider that Tread has had the some total of one issue thus far, most other titles have been around for close to a decade or more and have the backing of larger media houses who generally understand niche markets.
  18. Heh, funny thing... Family and mates in the UK love the Tread and wish they had something like it there. As for the 'quality' it's on par at the least.
