  1. Know the one you're talking about, goes on the towbar. They are expensive, when the ex and I bought ours I bitched about the price, ranted and raved, have to admit I saw the light after using it. When we split I made damn sure I held onto it
  2. jmaccelari, which Thule did you get? Also bought one, the 'Ride On' I think, goes onto the spare wheel, other than some hassle with the importers I've been extremly happy with the product as well.
  3. Yeah, it pisses me off when people put things on the back of their car and become blase and hardegat when they don't check their numberplate and try and lay the blame at the shop/manufacturer. Although how many folk whinge to the car, trailer or towbar suppliers and manufacturers when they get a fine for the same thing.
  4. It's a problem with most bike racks, but the onus is on the driver to ensure their numberplate is not obscured. Why should a manufacturer keep producing a solution if people don't have the common sense to buy it. It's easy enough to come up a home solution with for the numberplate. BigH maybe try Eagle Canyon Cycles- Tony Harding 011 795 4022
  5. Have to say, I was seriously considering coming through and supporting. Unfortunately though theres a meeting this evening with two swimwear models as well, I'm afraid my support shall be required there instead.
  6. Boa Boy, I stay that side. Let me know when you're about and I'll take you on a few trails.

  8. By the fort, across the highway from Fountains? Thought they had stopped people from riding there a while back.. ?
  9. Who cares who he is? Who cares what the amount of prize money is? Those are irrelavent points. The prize money, hasn't been paid and by his account he is getting the run around. It ain't acceptable pal, in fact it's down right bad form. In all probability there may be two sides to this, but google searches on some oke or puerile remarks about the prize money is hardly objective or proactive. In fact the thread has been pretty entertaining with the bartering of smarties, although I'm an M&M fan myself.
  10. Staal, maybe you should actually read what Intern put down, it would seem more than anything he has a valid point. Without the innuendo that you imply.
  11. It ain't over til the fat lady sings....
  12. .... It'd be better than a full frontal of you, I'd give myself two black eyes if that came up! We have one vote from Mark, do I hear another .... One vote against. Holy wouldn't be the same without his MAGENTA boa. But it's a safety hazard on so many levels .... I thought it was 'peuce'

  19. Rode over him, smeared myself in mountain mud, well farm mud actually and made a sacrifice to the Greek gods. Later I had a braai
  20. The MrMin trick was also used by MX riders, be careful of the new stuff though, acetone is an ingrediant of many aerosol wood polishes.
  21. Ah man, reading all this makes me wistful. Was around 2000 when I last did Barbeton. Was truly one of the favoured events of the season, ol Clint from Finish Line let us ride his bike in the swimming pool, the wine, the women, the great ride etc .... Have some good mammarys from then, and memorys. Congrats intern, sounds like you did well, including your acrobatics...
