  1. Ja but I'm still brilliant on the flats dude.
  2. Haha! To be honest, these days I'm even *** on the climbs! Oh crap, that reminds me, Attakwas is 2 months away. Faaaaaark.....
  3. Er... may I suggest NOT to ride with me then. I do have cool bikes though? And image is critical as we all know...
  4. I just wasn't expecting them to be soooooooooo flimsy. Maybe a bit naive to think that a 650g tyre was gonna be as tuff as a 900g HR. Dumbass.
  5. Cap I think you might have hit the nail on the head there. Not exactly sure which version they are, but definately not the snakeskin one.
  6. Sadly I still have a Nobby Nic at the back, but as soon as that's done I'm gonna go for something that's a bit tougher. I'm actually wondering whether a X-King won't be good enough for real wheel purposes? Have them on my Zula for the XC stuff, and jeepers they can take a lot of abuse.
  7. I had such a close call in Jonkers when the front Nobby Nic folded while I was going around a switchback at speed. You just don't need that sh*t in your life! So ja, I'm back to HR's. You can run them as flat as you like and no problems folding.
  8. Jip. Have the 2.35 on the front. Great grip and rolls well for the amount of grip provided. Went to Nobby Nic's for all of two rides and just missed the High Rollers too much, so went back to them. Aaaaaah.
  9. Hehe. Well said sir.
  10. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...... anyone here like Shimano?
  11. Hehe. Don't think I haven't noticed your "hidden" secret.....
  12. ......and now we wait for the AA and Hope(less) society members to arrive....
  13. Erm...then sell your entry, seeing that you're not going to enjoy the race. I'm no 221 on the Epic waiting list. Will gladly take over your entry.
  14. Stick to what you're used to. If you've already done stage races on a hardtail and you managed fine, then why would want to change anything now? And the same applies to anything else, tires, nutrition etc etc etc
  15. xx1
  16. I will do it in 8 hours on my Zula. I'm not mad.
  17. See you okes there. Taking my girlfriend along this time.... you know....for when it gets lonely.

    XX1

I agree 100%. Got XX1 on my Tracer and really blown away by it. Buuuuuut....not sure whether I'd be able to finish a long stage race (e.g. Epic) with it. I think I will run out of steam/legs/talent.
  19. I certainly know the feeling. My Tracer is now 4 years old and I keep falling in luv with that thing on a weekly basis!
  20. Jip. I agree with the Rouxtjie. Rather keep the rebound quicker. Mine is 3 or 4 clicks from fastest rebound. But you gonna have to play with it unfortunately. Find a nice piece of technical singletrack and ride it over and over, while every time changing the rebound speed. You will very soon find your own sweetspot.
  21. Be wild and get a 26'r.
  22. My 26'rs are fine. Can someone please blow some life into me.
  23. You stupid person you.
  24. Go XT. Much better feel and modulation. Somehow Avid's brakes only has an on and off setting and nothing inbetween. So either you crash because there's no brakes, or you crash due to an unplanned nose wheelie. Anyway, that's been my experience so far.
