  1. I wanna say something obscene, but seeing as I'll be doing the same route over the weekend, I'll hold back. Just hope it doesn't rain too much over the next few days. That trail can become a bit snotty in the wet.
  2. Hmmm...ag well, there's nothing wrong with friendly banter regarding product use (e.g fox vs RS, Shimano vs SRAM etc.) just as long people don't take themselves too seriously.
  3. Cool. Good to hear. I would hate our beloved past time to become a shout fest as so often happens in the roadie circles.
  4. Shoe gents, I don't get to Tokai that often, as I do most of my riding in Jonkershoek and Majik forest, and if I read all the comments here, it sounds like there's a lot of bad vibes going down in Tokai. Is this what mtbiking is all about? People kakking all over each other? Reading this, I'm not sure whether I wanna go ride there any more. I certainly don't get that aggression when riding in Jonkers. Or is it sounding a lot worse than it really is? Are the trails becoming over crowded perhaps?
  5. Jeesh, my XT AM wheels, must have the world's quitest hubs. I sometimes have to look down to make sure my wheels are actually turning! I've given a lot of riders in front of me the fright of their lives, because they don't hear me sneeking up from behind! I'm sure these wheels were actually designed for ninja's.

Er... I'm no DH expert, but my gutt tells me he didn't exactly make this one.
  7. Why are the wheels so big and I guess you got a big discount, because it's missing the rear suspension?
  8. You know, it's like The Dude said in "The Big Lebowski".... "f@@k it". Just buy the damn thing. Sort out the finances later. Eat crackers for the next month.
  9. Jeesh, 13kg is light. My Tracer is just under 14kg, and that's without a drop seat post.
  10. Well there you go! Didn't think for a second that the Morewood clan would produce a bike that doesn't go like stink.
  11. Don't worry, they might look good, but they ride like crap..
  12. Agreed. It somehow doesn't look "compact" enough like the other models. But hey, maybe it rides like a dream and then all will be forgotten!
  13. Is it a replacement for the Shova?
  14. Is the Sukuma in production?
  15. Surely a bike with a motor is faster than a bike without one.
  16. Enjoy it brother. Looks nice and sunny outside. Gonna have to wait till the weekend before my steed sees me again...why can't weekends be 5 days long and the work week 2 days? Just makes so much more sense?
  17. Thx Mayhem. The only reason why we're posting our bikes here, is to convince you to dump your hardtail and start saving up for a AM/DH rig. Or has there been developments recently that I don't know about?
  18. Love the baby blue colour boet. Enjoy the ride.
  19. Upgraded my Tracer this weekend with a Fox 36. Notably stiffer than the Revelation I had on previously. Ps: sorry for the high saddle height in the pic! I had to cycle back home from Majik forest and it's kinda difficult going uphill when you're knees are around your ears...
  20. Interesting comments. Yup, you definately change the way you ride when you're clipped in. And ja, I guess from a DH/FR point of view, clipless probably does make you lazy in terms of proper jump technique.
  21. Ja jeesh, I mtbiked for 7 years with platforms and vowed I would never get clipless. Then curiosity got the better of me and I eventually tried clipless. And I've been on clipless ever since. Can't imagine riding with my feet not clipped in. Just so much more control over the bike. Even jumps (ok maybe not full on DH stuff) I wouldn't know how to do with loose feet. But ja, I guess everyone needs to ride with a set up that they feel comfy with, whether it be clipless or platform. Doesn't really matter, as long as you ride!
  22. Ha ha! Ja, I know you were talking about the bum cream, but I gotto tell ya, if it wasn't for that stuff, I probably wouldn't have had a bum left after doing the Epic last year. But ok, having said that, bum cream doesn't come within a 10 meter radius of my Troy Lee baggies!
  23. Ag ok, if you really have to...
  24. I don't see anything wrong with a creamy squishy saddle dude... did that just come out of my mouth? Hell it must the k@k wheather affecting my judgement...
  25. Just janking your chain. Agreed, it makes a moer of difference when your saddle is safely tucked way. Just the fact that you know your baggies won't get caught on the saddle when you're about to launch it, is enough reason to stow that bugger the hell away!
