  1. How about wiping your arse properly to start with?
  2. Yip will post pics soon. Hoping someone can ID it. Least i know what the gears are called now Thanks!
  3. We were recently given a vintage Bianchi road bike. It is so old it weighs more than my mountain bike and has the gear change thingies on the frame and not anywhere near the handle bars (i have not got a clue what they are called). It is a 6 speed (i think) and has all the original parts. Does anyone know how I can get this bike identified? It is all in working order, but needs some restoration etc. Once we have identified it, the restoration will start. Any ideas? Is there a website for this? Have been Googling all morning to no avail.
  4. #MORETHANJUSTAFACELIFT
  5. I will shoot the crows. Bunnies are my pets! Should anyone have any constructive advice on how to get the crows to bugger off, please let me know. I do not want to shoot them, but I will if i have to.
  6. This afternoon i had two crows after my rabbits. Yes, in JHB. Yeah, will have to make a plan, but will just be quicker to buy one as they are hunting my bunnies!
  7. Does anyone know where I can get a fair sized scarecrow? Yes, this is a serious question and I need it urgently. If you have one collecting dust, please let me know. I have searched Google high and low and have not found anything... so I am asking here out of sheer desperation. Thanks.
  8. Sharing the link here, hope it is viewable! http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1950101627054
  9. When i had my flu shot done last month, i phoned and asked the doc if it is ok to train after, and i asked the nurse at Dischem and both said it was fine. They said i can carry on the same day and i did - went spinning that same afternoon and have been fine.
  10. And you can vote multiple times. And i know this is a cycling forum, but Hubbers have been known to pull something off and I am hoping you guys can help pull this one off too
  11. I would not be posting this if it were some arb competition, but this is for the AACL to win R200 000. That is a substantial amount of money for a charity that needs it and for an animal charity (animal charities in general) which often get put last in a country where animals dont seem to be considered much. You dont win anything, it is not a competition. But the AACL can win R200 000 with your vote. It closes tomorrow and time is running out. Please if you could take just 3 mins out and like the Liqui Fruit page on Facebook, and vote for the AACL, it can help them win this much needed cash injection. Here is the link - http://www.facebook.com/LiquiFruit Please spread the word and share on Facebook. I would not be posting this if it were some hoax or rubbish competition. It is a substantial amount of money for them which is needed.
  12. This infuriates me I have nothing but respect for you guys and always do as advised by the marshals and am always polite. I take my hat off to you guys and it is cyclists who respond in this manner that make it unpleasant for all involved and no doubt cause the motorist vs cyclist war as well.
  13. Just tried again with both branches and it still wont allow it go to through. There is no Canal Walk under FNB. Also tried putting 00 at the front of the branch code, and at the end of the branch code to no avail.
  14. David, can you give me a branch NAME please. Just tried to do the payment on the number you gave me, and it keeps rejecting it. Need a name to cross reference, thanks.
  15. I may be interested in these, depending on what you want for them (if MTBgirl doesnt take them). Need a spare pair for spinning as doing up laces in spinning class 5x per week is doing my head in.
  16. Also interested in this topic seeing that my other half is pretty adamant i get a 29er, but I still like my little responsive 26er so it will take a few years of convincing i reckon.
  17. I have the Ladies Tahoe shoes from Specialised. No more numb feet, lovely! I am also a 41 and battled to get this size as it seems popular.
  18. I will take a raffle ticket. Let me know details of payment for it, etc.
  19. I cant be bothered with that. I often grab a bike and go around the block and having them chained would make it a hassle to grab and go. If they can get into the house for the bikes, after getting over an alarmed electric fence and roboguard beams, then they are welcome to the lot of them (two road, two mtb). By that point my interest would me in keeping us and the animals safe, sod the bikes Although i would hope the insurance pay out. Do you chain them just to each other, or to something else as well?
  20. Thats really bad Not nice to experience after just moving in. Are you insured? Our bikes sleep in the lounge next to the couch that our male GSD sleeps on. Still not a sure fire way of keeping the bikes safe, but I like to think they dont need to be locked to something
  21. I stick to CRC. Buycycle suck and CWC do not have my vote either. Stock is minimal and when asking for something specific one gets shoved from pillar to post. Wont bother in future, am going to London in August anyhow, will bring back everything i need from CRC.
  22. This guy evidently has no clue about what he is doing. I am suffer with chronic asthma and taking even two puffs of a reliever gives heart palpitations. How anyone can go through a canister in one race and not have heart issues is beyond me, and is downright dangerous. I am on 6 puffs of a steriod pump per day (Symbicord), plus the reliever when exercising and yet still my chest is continually full of gunk. I have to carry both pumps during races else i wont finish even though i am always last! Maybe it is performance enhancing, but at what risk? Puffing on a reliever is dangerous and stupid for those who are not asthmatic. I cannot help but wonder if for some it is more the mental effect rather than the physical.
  23. My dogs like to eat cats. Not successfully done so yet though, but i know they would judging by the way they chased a neighbours cat one day. But when a cat comes onto their turf, s***s all over and gets chomped, then the owner moans? I have GSD's... GSD vs Kitty? If thinks not...
