  1. I can loan you my Ragley...
  2. In cold minus numbers I pull a buff over the mouth and ears. Warm breath contained inside keeps the throat warm too. When i commuted throughout winter I used to stuff newspaper between layers on my chest and remove half or more when it got warm.
  3. Thanks
  4. Have heard about this from someone. Where can you get it?
  5. At least it looks like a gap now which will stop the average rider from just riding at it and braking on the lip thinking wtf happened to the bridge they were expecting. Saw this happen a number of times...
  6. Most noobs ride down the easy trail on the complete left of the bomb hole. But I agree with you, some guys have got used to riding through it with a safe exit. When I got surprised it was because I wasn't watching whe I was going. Was looking at the rebuilt jump on the left. You know the one that used to kick you sideways and the landing was concrete and rocks?
  7. Think it was only built a day or so ago after the Spruit Fairy had cut up the tree which had fallen across the previous gap during the rains. I haven't seen it yet though...
  8. When I accidentally switched the setting to take pics every second I got lots of Sidewinder pushing up technical bits at The Farm.
  9. Only kidding. Caught me by surprise the first time too. Prefer the jump on the left anyway.
  10. Don't come here with your BS. Just because you don't know how to hit that baby lip.
  11. As per Maxxis. Only record fun bits of downhill trail, jumps etc. I stop the recording so try not to get any junk footage of riding/pushing back up. Friend of mine does editing...
  12. Hope the dude recovers soon. That 'table' has been there forever and has claimed many skin donors. It's actually just a hump in the ground and the trail rolls over it. Like to see anyone take that down as it would bring down those large bluegum trees supported there.
  13. The wife carries a first aid kit that has most things you need in her Camelbak. I just carry a mertholiate spray for cuts and scrapes. On topic though, the last time we were at Hakahana she stopped to help some poor dude riding the rocky downhill on his jump bike. She had to plug a number of cuts in his tyres.
  14. Perhaps we should also take down all jungle gyms, swings and slides as these are dangerous for kids?
  15. Yeah, I wouldn't want to be thrashing those components down Glenn and Wappo's singletrack.
  16. I'm not sure how you ride past someone stranded with their bike? Even driving past in a car I would offer assistance. Maybe she should stop riding in Boksburg...
  17. A double right up at the top by the school before the elevated switchback takes you into a berm and up the bank. Think it should be longer... And a log gap after the tree line which seems to disappear and get rebuilt (badly unfortunately) on a weekly basis.
  18. There were warning signs down the Delta line when the Dash was on a few weeks ago...
  19. Intense 5.5 EVP http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20130613_111727_zpse4a90980.jpg
  20. Me too. Helps more the older I get.
  21. And there is a lot of crime down there. My dad stays in a townhouse on the river near the Grayston bridge and they have 24hr patrols, double fences with guard dogs etc to keep crime out - and they still get in.
  22. Hope has one of the easiest hubs to switch between different axles. Basically pull off / push on the adapters with your fingers. Only the 20mm TA has a circlip which you need to remove first.
  23. Ahh, the pronk. Aka the fake bunnyhop. It doesn't work at low speeds or clear much height or obstacles like pavements.
  24. Huh??? I don't think this thread is referring to hitting major gap jumps. You can hop any bike dude. In fact it's easier on a hardtail. I've managed to teach a number of people on most types of bikes. Edit: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/132462-my-first-bunnylog-hop-stoked/
