  1. Thanks to the swamp fairies. I always slow down on top of the bank to check that no one is coming before bombing down there.

    Pump track

I can't make it this weekend. You guys going to finish it or will there be more build days?
  3. No doubt you can ride everything on a rigid but We'll chat afterwards to see how much fun you had ...
  4. Will it fit? If so will take it in black and give it a try thanks. Oh and the answer to your second question is definitely YES!
  5. Thanks for brightening up my day! You know what I mean...
  6. You don't think the blue is a bit much? Brightens up my stealth approach...
  7. Thanks Dude. The ride on it is so fun and playful. Handled all the same jumps and drops that my 5.5 does.
  8. This is what Bob looks like with blue wheels. Just temporary... http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20131102_204018_zpsf321c921.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20131102_203933_zps684710e1.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20131104_115402_zpsae3d084f.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd175/Seanf1art/20131104_115159_zpsb0c7e94b.jpg
  9. Don't trust CRC's exchange rate calculator though. I've had two R6k orders (basket total) which cost R7.5k when you make payment. Oh yes. The ability to run my 1.5" steerer was a major selling point.
  10. Nope. Haven't ever replaced them. Replaced bearings in two pivots. That's in over 2 years of ownership.
  11. You won't believe the build quality, paint job etc of the Ragley frames. They had issues with their previous factory but it's pretty clear that their new one went all out to impress and makes things right. And I got it for under R3k off CRC.
  12. Mounting hardware. They are so worn, they just fell out of the shock when I was removing them
  13. As it happens I'm going to do that this weekend. Need to get 15mm TA adapters later today. The Intense needs need shock bushings before I ride it again. Even riding uphill creates a huge knocking noise.
  14. Yes. That's the Piglet 2 I mentioned. Just as nice but wrong colour.
  15. Superman only looks awesome if you land it rubber side down.
  16. Bike was being pimped yesterday: New wide bars, dropper post, softer saddle, much larger rotors... short stem on loan... Going for first ride with Wessel this morning. Will take some pics. Still needs stem and flat pedals which will be on their way from the UK next week.
  17. Another friend told me that a skinny high roller 2.1 front tyre and enduro riding can lead to performing superman moves through the trees.
  18. There are many bits where most will push up. When I'm not particularly fit getting up some of the technical climbs on my trail bike with granny gear can be a mission. Whatever you do bring front suspension!!!
  19. Dude. You are a Swampdog (albeit new) with special priviledges....
  20. Sorry to hear that. Have you looked at one of the steel frames? The Piglet 2 has the same geometry as the Marley or Blue Pig which is even more hardcore. Just heavier...
  21. I tried 650B wheels on it and there's not enough clearance on the fork to run a fat tyre.
  22. Just waiting on my wheelbuilder. Have green Spike rims going to be laced to black Hope hubs. I collected them yesterday.
  23. Most MTBers sit way too much on the Saddle. Most of the vital skills are being practised when you are out of the saddle.
  24. In the assisting of new riders I find some people who struggle to stand and pedal are not straightening their leg into the bottom of the pedal stroke. Rather the knee stays bent all the way through the stroke leading to rapid muscle fatigue. I can't say if this is what you are battling with as you could be doing it right. Just being new to it you possibly haven't developed the required muscle strength. Maybe it's gear selection to obtain the correct slower Cadence...
