beanz, there is unfortunately no more direct route - believe me, I have tried every other route would traverse private property From Mountain Sanctuary it's roughly 36kms to where we'll be starting, at my pace (slow), that's about 2h15m..... so if you left at 6h00 and assuming you're faster than me (most people are), you'd get at least 3/4's of the way to the start before running into us. The Spaza and back would be my 67km.... to the top and back is roughly 57km from the starting point

No hassle.... how many of your group were on my starting list? So I know who to cross off....

It's very decent of you to offer Stefanh.... the driver would be waiting for a very long time though as only the first +- 30kms is 'driveable'... unless by someone who has proper 4x4 experience. the 90km can be done without support (unless there is a serious mechanical issue)- there is a tap at the shebeen to re-fill bottles/camelbaks

Oh, ok.... I guess I can overlook it this once..... DON'T DO IT AGAIN!!!!! I'll have to select someone else from the 90km group to lead the way.....

The 90km list keeps getting longer For those that are joining me just to the top and back (57kms), I can confirm that it will be S L O W..... I spent the whole long weekend being sick with bronchitis. I'm hoping that I'll be ok enough to crawl to the top and back..... so never fear, you can all use me as an excuse..... let's just hope that the 90km people don't catch us on their return!! anyhow, the list has been updated

If you don't get carried away with all the manne that say they don't ride fast and then go out like bats out of hell, and you take it at a pedestrian pace (i.e. my pace), and only ride to the top and back, it can only be good for 3 Towers. Just slow and easy..... stick with me and I'll guarantee that you don't blow it for 3 Towers.... just sayin'
