  1. I decided to go and offer a bit of support yesterday since I couldn't participate this year. I found a few route markers and followed them in reverse until I found the field. Unfortunately the first 3 riders (at that stage being led by Summit Cycles) took me by surprise so I wasn't able to get pictures of them but here are some that I did manage. See if you can spot yourself Enjoy
  2. Yip How would you compare a six hour's riders attitude compared to one doing 24 hours ? I am asking and as I said elsewhere I am a mere apprentice in the wonderful world of ultra endurance MTB. I would think that a six hour race would attract a faster and more experienced rider and with my limited experience in 24 hours I would have to assume that an event like this would attract all types, so I don't really see the slower guys being so amicable. Limited experience with this and I would appreciate some more insight. Boris it's easy... just keep left as much as possible because you're so slow you're gonna have a lot of people trying to overtake you. In fact, I have a better idea... rather don't ride, you'll just get in everyones way
  3. That's not a tumble, it looks more like spud was getting comfy waiting for you guys to catch up with him, he'd just woken from his nap when you arrived with your camera DT
  4. Wow Boris. This is truly inspirational. What dedication. I think we could all learn a lot from this team
  5. I'm so sorry I missed this, watched the British version and thoroughly enjoyed it. Congrats Bardy clan, you must be really proud
  6. Now there I have to agree. It's really disgusting doing Trials on the rocks and having to dodge the sh!tpiles everywhere. Also, broken glass, booze bottles, and just general garbage everywhere. It's sickening! I told you my side of the spruit is better
  7. Hey BL, I came across this one on Breedts Nek one day; that's as close as I'd allow myself to get... quality not great cos it was taken from my cell phone
  8. I thought you were still there dirtygirl?

  11. you mean people worry about post counts before that? That's just sad stuff should sell because of a persons credibility, not their post count and I know some hubbers that have huge post counts and little credibility
  12. Sorry mon ami You're forgiven my son... don't do it again
  13. I tend to agree with EigerSA, I've gradually started becoming faster just by riding with faster people who push me out of my comfort zone (a lot of the time, they're unaware that they're doing it ) But I do think it also boils down to what SC called 'muscle memory', the more time you spend on your bike, the faster you're likely to become. You can't ride once a week or every other week and expect exceptional results Patience...
  14. Good advice there SC
  15. Get a coach.
  16. I can see you guys are all being very helpful... any useful advice?
