  1. I'm planning to go to the Fort William World Cup. I live close to London and plan to drive up the 3rd of June and come back the 8th. will probably be camping. I have space for one person and one bike. So if you fancy some riding in Scotland and watching the worlds best, just let me know.
  2. i also used to have knee problems. then i changed to specialized shoes, with standard bg, blue, insole and some time atac pedals. never had knee problems since. i dont know the correct term for the knee problem i had. the combination of the time pedals and spesh shoes helps alot. Speedplay pedals have a similar feel.
  3. very nice! but as you say, not sure about the saddle angle. love the wheels
  4. its def a raleigh' date=' its the original colours and badge on it, from the factory here in the uk.[/quote'] Loving the 'plaashek'! Danlate, how much did the wheels take from his wallet? Did you manage to get the other frame yet? Updated pick of your farmgate? wheels was ?200 for pair. new plaashek is too small, its built but it throwed me like a rodeo horse, so i dont like it. will get pic today.
  5. its def a raleigh, its the original colours and badge on it, from the factory here in the uk.
  6. i gathered that they only sell through their own site. good in a way so you get the best price from them, but bad that i cant get it through the shop i work in and put it on my "interest free account" anyways, cant justify getting a new bike. the wife is still getting over the last one.

  8. that is seriously the nicest bike ive seen in ages! well done, cant wait to see the complete build. their mtb's look very good. wonder what the prices are like for them here in the uk?

  10. you call that working? love to have your job on freecaster.tv it looked like they pulled out the hot seat later. but never used it.
  11. some more: the levers for x.x will be normal, and not double tap. integrated lockout in the brake lever: and the sid will have new lockout system: new brake caliper and 2-piece rotor: danlate2009-04-13 12:35:18
  12. seven/kenda team with x.x absalon's 9 speed gripshifts
  13. freakin links dont work. wil try later
  14. here is some pics of the x.x on the seven/kenda bikes http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/downloadid=30721 http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/downloadid=30719 and absalon's 9 speed setup http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/downloadid=30720
  15. i think sean may know something about that. absalon didnt use x.x this weekend as far as i know. he had the x.x brakes but stuck with x.0 rear mech and grip shifts. the seven/kenda team had x.x on the drivetrain.
  16. if anything, mtb is ahead of mx. i read an article in the latest dirt, they had an interview with bob fox from fox racing shocks, and he said that they use lots of technology form mtb in the mx stuff. very interesting article. ? ? Interesting, I find it hard to think that way but Im sure it can be true and vice versa. So would you for example have mid-stroke harshness and for the top riders would you set your race sag on the rear and does oil?heights and oil weights along with internals make a difference? yes, they play around with shim stacks etc to give different dampening through the shock stroke. i dont realy have a clue how it all works, but there is a lot to it. here in the uk there is a guy, tim flooks, who have a suspension tuning company. he would be the best to ask about the tech stuff. http://www.tftuned.com/
  17. i agree with you BB, but there is and exception, on the short cage x9 the top pulley is the same as x0, the hole is in the centre. kcnc is not all that great. they become very noisy especially on the top pulley. ive put my old x0 one back on the top. they do look bling though

  19. sorry, i only see now, its for a xo. im fast asleep, bloody bank holiday
  20. as i said, it depends which sram rear derailleur you have, on the x0 you can use kcnc, im using some on mine, but on the x9 the top is different.
  21. Conti race kings are awesome. we have quite a bit of mud here in the uk, and they have worked great for me. its an awesome dry tyre, but works well in the slippery stuff. but make sure you get the 2.2 version. the 2.0 dont work that great. if you need more grip , get a mountain king for the front.
  22. odi rogue or yeti grips are nice and fat as well. i love the rogues.
  23. yes, they are made in the states. they have been making mtb forks for years., but not as popular these days.
  24. depends which rear derailleur you have, some sram ones you can only use sram jockey wheels because on the top pulley the hole is not in the centre of the pulley. tacx might have a compatible option, kcnc wont work.
