  1. I got these about a month back EA70 XCT's just made the ea70 part red & white & this just arrived now 5 min ago Whoopee!!!
  2. Ola my name is (H)ennie. I live in Welkom where we have no hills & I ride a Scott Spark 29er Team with a few nice upgrades. I did my first deal on the Hub in Jan 2011 where i swapped an Iphone 4 for a Giant trance frame. I have since re sold the same frame here on the hub, as well as my Merida Big 9 & the wifie's Merida 120. I have also tried to smous my slightly buckled 29" Alexrims but nobody wanted them!!! I have recently started reading the forums & must say some of the ou's on here are f'kin hillarious & I have even made some random contributions to increase my post count & hence not remain a "Noob" for too long. I think i am the proud owner of 55 posts to date Edit 56, wait no now 57 ??? No 56??? Oh & my rims are still for sale
  3. Lekka Dikwiel, good price, few upgrades later on & you cant go wrong....My 2c Or ya like Top Fuel said, just buy a frame & build over..
  4. & the most obvious one " I thought it was a MoreWOOD Stump humper????" or am I bark-ing up the wrong tree??
  5. Shiver me timbers I almost got a woodie but surely not a bike for everyone's taste "pallet" & how do you think you would pine over that frame should it break???
  6. I've got the baby Team version, Upgraded the wheels to some EA70xct's & wanna put a better crank on then I'm happy.. I dont see the point of the Twinlock idea though, would rather prefer to be able to lock out the front & back seperately. Will just wait for that little levet to go pop & replace it with 2 individual ones. Also flipped that little high / low thingy to the high setting, seems a bit cushier this way but that's about it.
  7. Ok so here's the deal. The dudes ar a bit hesitant to give up their supplier BUT.... Being the business men that they are, they wanna start their own cycling clothing suppliers. BUT...wait there's more... I spoke to my buddy this morning & he said that if anyone is looking for kits, he will supply it to them @ the same price R 300 bib & shirt (min 50 units though) or else the China Man's moan a bit. If anyone is keen, pls phone Johnathan on 083 406 7183 & I'm sure he can help. Thanks H
  8. Replaced my Alexrims on my Spark with some Easton EA70 xct's Pretty happy so far, dunno if it's just me but the Alexrims are a bit soft for my dik g@t, they for sale by the way R 1500 with tubeless conversion & rocket ron's fitted. Or if anyone has a crank & bb they wanna swap??
  9. Stuff the pink gun, there's a womble in there with them !!???!! Edit... maybe I should read further before posting... general conclusion it is indeed a womble
  10. Eish missed this, I will find out from our club chairman & let you know, he did all the negotiations & ordering, I just designed the look of it.
  11. I'm diabetic & shoes are a problem so I've been riding with AM's for a while now & they are fantastic. Using eggbeaters as well, took a while to get clipping in lekka but now it's second nature. Also its amazing how fast you can unclip when you have those "hier kom k@k moments" Sometimes get skeefed out by the ou's at races but hey I'm comfy & my feet are happy.
  12. First bamboo frames now wooden shocks?!? what next??? Carbon fiber....oh wait never mind....
  13. Just check sizing..their large & our large not always ed-zachary the same & the elasticky bits on the arms sometimes a bit toight!! (ask for some play in the sleeves) If you go for black in the bibs, spec black material, not printed black, it is a little bit see through. Quality not bad & decent chamois (well ours anyway) & at R 300 bib & shirt landed i ain't complaining.
  14. Dude why don't u just let the missus choose her own bike?? or is this one of those moves where you are actually buying "our" new bike??
  15. Good stuff, glad u enjoyed it Try this, not a moerse difference 7mm but i think the bike rides better on this setting http://www.scott-sports.com/global/en/technology/bike/Adjustable_BB_Height/
  16. A couple of my mates are doing Clarens this weekend, I cant make it DOH !!! Enjoy the new bike, 3 bends & 2 climbs & you will be one with each other I love my Spark Dikwiel & I'm sure you will 2
  17. Both In an XT / XO kinda way
  18. ya um fanx ... after this maybe not..... will change ad to "Cast butter wheels for sale"
  19. Nah not the same guy, & its my front wheel only & i just rubbed the edge of the single track?!?! Funny though they also come off a Spark 29er suppose the wheels are a bit soft if you weigh 90+ I fitted a set of Easton EA70 xct's on friday, will see how they hold out Oh & shot for the free bump on the ad
  20. so basically 19 ou's are gonna buy 1 ou a frame........ that could work. Also would you consider making it a kit kat chunky??
  21. I wanted a Dual link 6 a while back, they would'nt supply me a bike through my lbs cause he's not an agent. I phoned Victor & he refused to supply me a bike through them, said i should buy 1 in bloem ( what's the effing point ) They didn't wanna water down their brand & wot wot bull$**t. I't would have been the 1st Momsen in the area & i know a lot of my club mates were keen on 1 but wanted to see mine first. Put a bitter taste in my mouth so sometimes local not so lekka!!!! Loving My Spark 29er though, thay had no k@k selling me a bike.

    Silverback Range

I started with an Oakland & then bought a Nebraska, loved my Silverbacks Aint nothin' wrong & good value for $$.
  23. Eish & I karaoke'd to this tune @ my 40th on Saturday The fashion might have sucked but the music will rule FOREVER !!!!!
  24. Ya what Grebel said is a better plan, once u clear coat you're committed & no one wants to buy a Merida that weighs more than it already does std.
