  1. Geco Cycles in Brackenfell is where I do my business. Fred cool guy, doesn't try to smoke you for every cent.
  2. I'm a mtb'er, and I feel which one of the dissiplines is the hardest depends on the amount of skills you have.... The way I see, when you race road real hard (it is freakin tough!!!). To get yourself that kind of moeg when riding mountain bike you must have very good skills, otherwise you'll rest enough while negotiating the tough technical bits..... But to ride the way Burry and Kevin do..... thats the toughest!! mtb race at 35km/h average!!
  3. I opt to skip Knysna and do the Dryland Oudshoorn Marathon. 3 day event, for me and the missus, R690, all an all......
  4. TT bikes....... F-UGLY!!!!!!
  5. The biggest problem I have with this scenario is the following: 1. Mtb on tar? 2. Tar being N1. 3. Mtb being commondale.....

  7. BMC = Style freak (needs to feel unique) Mongoose = Poor (must get best value for money!)
  8. Ok, this might sound very stupid...... but what difference does a frame really make? Everybody is raving about Morewood XC frames the last couple of weeks.... what is that about? I am not ripping Morewood or anything like that, this argument is for all bikes.... Does one frame really differ that much from the next? I ride a Mongoose Canaan, prior to that a cheap hardtail, so I don't have lots of frame experience.... just wondering..... Please give your 2c......
  9. I also have the grey mongoose canaan team.... Thinking of doing something to personalize it a bit..... Well done!
  10. If you can afford a Scalpel, why not rather go for the more exclusive brands...... like Elsworth, Yeti or focus??? But between the Scalpel and Merida.......... MERIDA!!!!
  11. I know the pricing of the above mentioned sets will vary a lot, but that as part of the answer (value for money), what would you guys suggest? I have been informed that my current blades are to worn for a new chain, so I'm thinking rather replacing the blades, upgrade the crankset..... Anyone has pricing for the FSA parts? My LBS doesn't stock them......
  12. Wanneer ek groot is wil ek ook 'n Scott h?...... Rakende die parte...... gaan die SRAM XX 'n gripshift opsie h??

  20. I'm currently thinking of upgrading my saddle to a FiZik Gobi, but got the news that I might be able to getting a Prologo Nago for free..... Anyone know how this saddle is?
  21. Ok, I'm planning on taking the big step saddle wise and upgrade to a Fizik Gobi..... (eina pyn vir my beursie!!) I've only heard good things on this saddle, but have a question: As a dude my tools are of serious concern for me, so my question is this: A saddle like the gobi doesn't have the gap in the middle to aleviate pressure on the prostate... Is a saddle with the gap the better choice? Please advise......
