It's not true and it's not fair to the riders that didn't dope and never will dope. and here It p****s me off that eight or 10 years later, after winning the prize money, buying the big houses and the flashy cars, they decide to come clean when they're cornered into it and then still blame somebody else. Admit it. and especially here last night David Zabriskie, Christian Vande Velde, Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie and Tom Danielson only got six-month bans. How do the age catagories work at 70.3...? I just checked on the website to see if I could find myself under the athletes registered section - and got a bit worried when i couldn't... Then I looked in the 40-45 section and see the rude bastards have me listed ther . I have not yet turned 39 for the record but will have by the time of the race. So I assume I would then go in the 40+ wave as a 39yr old?

Its all good. If it wasn't clear the victims part was my attempt at sarcasm. To be even clearer I actually believe the opposite. It is very easy to play the victim card when the game is up and you are trying to save your own skin. Credit to Hincappi - at least he is the one guy not going down that road. As for me believing Lance is telling the truth and all others lying, you really need to slow down and actually read what I said.

you said their sanctions were as per the rules. I admit I haven't actually read whatever rules we are talking about, but I would expect that once you have admitted or been found guilty generally your sanction is immediately effected. Instead all these guys were allowed to ride this year's tour, and then withdraw from the olympics (cos that would have opened up a serious can of worms), and then get given their backdated 6 months suspensions timed to be mostly in the off season! Edit - OK corrected one incorrect assumpotion I made above...

So a couple of questions for those celebrating: Are you also happy that all the confessed dopers in the report (other than LA) are getting IN EFFECT no punishment at all? Do you really believe that all of them never doped before Lance and only doped because of him? If yes to above I suppose you really do believe that Lance made them do it - poor little victims. I then understand why you see there should be one set of rules for Lance and another for the rest... For me - not so much. Lance deserves to have his results expunged as much as the rest do - no more no less. you can't make up the rules as you go (such as ignoring the statute of limitations for 1 guy). Much of the report is moralising and argumentative - rather than simply presenting the facts. No reason for this other than to continue trying to justify the crusade and the special treatment given to LA...
