  1. Who flamed ya? Anyway, agreed... if we going to be open lets be open all the way (open does not mean only listening to anyone who has something to say about lance) - I may be in the minority around here but I don't think doping started or ended with him, nor that the likes of TH doped because of him. that is such a cop out.
  2. Peta you are an attractive girl with certain charms, but Cav didn't knock you up for your analytical ability... edit to add winkey smily thingie
  3. Dude, we were debating an analogy and my post was answering this nothing more: "Not everything that surfaces in the police investigation needs to be brought to the court, nor is it ever." I already said Lance has chosen to waive a number of his rights.
  4. not true. there is a process called discovery (or disclosure in some countries) in real life legitimate trials. prosecution cannot be selective in what it shares with the defense - and this is done BEFORE trial. Anyway, this isn't really like police and court. USADA have acted as investigators, court/jury and executioner. But all that done UCI actually need to carry out the death sentence.
  5. fair point although they have announced plenty - just not specifics. And we are talking about giving everything to UCI at this ppoint - not public (necesarily although ultimately one hopes we get an unfiltered version too)
  6. And R12500 a month!
  7. Speculation. There is nothing at all unusual or strange about the party carrying out a sanction to see all the evidence of the party carrying out the investigation... The contrary would be unusual / strange.
  8. why do they need to be selective about what they include (and EXCLUDE) from a report for the body who is required to carry out the USADA sanction? Your answer above doesn't answer..... I'm not talking about LA - I agree he decided not to participate so as an individual I believe he has waived rights to demand anyhting directly from USADA (and his attorneys are not actually asking for this now they are asking why the full file is not being shared with UCI). Scary comment right there kind of gets to the nub of this. USADA's decision and sanction was made ages ago. now they want to be selective with what is going to be shared with the body that must preside over the ban and the removal of his 7 tours outside of the statute of limitations. this decision was made some time ago on the file as it existed, yet it takes a couple of months to re-rcreate something new when being looked at by another entity... why? I want to know everything or at least if I really can't I want someone other than the USADA to.
  9. this is what smells a bit... Usada are preparing their "reasoned" report for UCI - and have refused all along to date (and it seems going forward) to simply open up their files to the UCI. Yes yes I know the cries of why this was done in the past (supposedly UCI being in cahoots with LA) but a very valid question to ask, why not now? Why do they need to wordsmith a report?
  10. One of the scariest moments I've had on a bike was in PE over the last xmas holidays. Riding on William Moffet during what I thought was offpeak - was first buzzed by some little nob in a polo and then a couple of minutes later I was put in the gutter (literally) by a garbage truck. In both cases the second lane was clear - no need to give me the squeaze. Needless to say avoided WM after that...
  11. agree 1000%. Her legs did the talking all along - but some did not want to hear. She's good enough t make it in MTB then so why not.
  12. ja I reckon red bull should sponsor him with one of their wing suit thingies - he must be up for some extreme sport given his proclivity for heights...
  13. Do you know who holds the highest position in the world? President Barack Obama? Nope. Pope Benedict? Nope. Babu Sassi, a fearless young man from southern India, is the cult hero of Dubai 's army of construction workers. Known as the "Indian on top of the world", Babu is the crane operator at the world's tallest building, the 819-meter Burj Dubai. His office, the cramped crane cab perched on top of the Burj, is also his home. It takes too long to come down to the ground each day to make it worthwhile - although, when the building is completed, its elevators will be the world's fastest. Stories about his daily brush with death are discussed in revered terms by Dubai 's workers. Some say he has been up there for more than a year, others whisper that he's paid 30,000 dirhams ($8,168) a month compared with the average wage of 800 dirhams a month. But everyone agrees, he's worth it - because nobody else would have the courage to do the job!
  14. if he wasn't on postal he would have doped anyway but there would never have been a book.
  15. Right! There goes any hub cred I may have had.
  16. Swim 2.37km!? Whats up with that (def not keen on an extra 400+metres on the swim). Or did you battle to swim in straight lines maybe?
  17. you could also go and visit you local kauai for a smoothie and use their wireless..
  18. Ja - haven't played around with Golden Cheetah yet but I think I saw some functionality that lets you remove spikes presumably for this reason... Re the HR issue - I haven't had this again in subsequent rides. May be a combo of the conditions on the day and the strap may have been a little loose. Need to do some analysis of my rides now and see if I can learn anything... - just haven't got there yet
  19. with the pace vettel had and Alfonso finally getting more than his share of bad luck (after a charmed first half of the season) I reckon, unfortunately, its Vettels championship to lose.
  20. did the bubbles stop while you had it submerged? Reading your first post it seems not - so more likely it sealed up over-night...
  21. I like you brief briefing. They sent an email out today on their own briefing in Joburg as per this ->
  22. Don't be so sure!! Ok well hopefully by then I will have done 1 or 2 shorter tri's... On the subject - which in GP would you chaps recomend so I can get them in the diary? OK so for a 20min briefing maybe not worth fight ing the traffic etc to get there... will see closer to the time
  23. Is the "Mission Briefing" (Joburg 6 and 7 Nov) worthwhile for a 70.3 virgin?
  24. depends how long you riding for...
