  1. Ditto that Zookster. Everyone wants to look like a fly! Mind you' date=' cyclists walking around in their biking glasses look just as gookey! [/quote'] as does anyone wearing sunglasses when the sun is not out or they are indoors
  2. for me, lactic acid burn clears as quickly as it comes on. Apparently it totally clears from your system after about 30 minutes after cessation of exercise which I agree feels right. I would recommend a massage only after 2-3 hours if your muscles feel particularly tight but not to help clear lactic acid. In fact, I once had a massage and was told to go home and have a soak in the bath to clear the excess lactic acid! what a joke that was as I was just laying on the table face down getting my back rubbed!
  3. after what distance are you talking, ishy? should be no need for a massage. it's important to keep warm straight after a race. You do this by staying on the bike and coming to a gradual stop and then putting some warmer clothing on. If you happen to be like me and get very tight hamstrings, stretch when you get off, but that's very much an individual issue.

    SA MTB Champs

here's another clue. Mr Price is a SA team...
  8. a good warm up before a road race is to ride from home, especially if it's about 30 minutes away. for track, use rollers or a trainer prior to each race. gradually you'll work out what is optimal for your body.
  9. the problem with sharing is somewhere along the way, someone has double-dipped. those familiar with the term know that's the equivalent of putting your whole a$%# in the jar! no thanks.....
  10. is it fair to suggest this is not something to share? ever?
  11. I have really soft chamois, so no need. The only ones I know using it, do so to soften theirs up. sorry, can't name the cream
  12. here's another-deodorant. have you seen 'forty year old virgin'? doesn't that waxing kill?
  13. Personally' date=' it's because I don't want to feel like I'm doing a 12 year old boy![/quote'] i don't mind a little bit of body hair on chest and arms should also be more natural, but if you resemble a rug or look like a dog when you're gardening with your t-shirt off please go for a wax! hey, don't get us started on chicks with hairy lips? ?and i just know where this one's gonna goi am talking about girls with moustaches! unless you want to look like someones greek mother, a woman should do something about that. it's for the same reason we shave our underarms and I cannot understand why a man would do it

    ATTITUDES!

You can' date=' but just leave Tom Cruise out of it.[/quote'] and i don't want to hear about l ron hubbard's frozen spunk. wasn't that thawed to create suri?
  17. HR, did you type that in small print, hoping it would go unnoticed?
  18. kona, i preface my question by acknowleding that there are lunatics who abuse cyclists for sport. is it not the case there that if you are doing the right thing, you will be left alone most of the time? I believe if you are obeying the law, you should be fine
  19. All I am saying is there are far more important things in life we need to be angry and worried about. If we, as a nation, had THIS MUCH passion towards taking out the filth in our community.....then SA would have been a better place to live in!! this is a cycling forum and the subject is about riders using the road illegally. greyowl (Simon Henderson as we're all now aware!) is a cyclist and he's entitled to voice his opinion.
  20. ewep, when I see a commercial vehicle driving dangerously, I get the license plate and call that company immediately-the phone number is often on the vehicle. it's legal here to talk on the mobile (cell), hands free whilst driving and I've made those calls quite a few times.
