Not sure if this has been posted before...just ignore me if it has https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/motogp/will-ducati-and-dovi-be-axed-qatar-motogp-results an interesting view on perhaps how MotoGP should be dealing with this (because this won't be the last incident)
  2. Mass shootings in a Mosque in Christchurch! Terrible news https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-03-15/n-z-police-respond-to-reports-of-shots-fired-in-christchurch Apparently due to anti-immigration sentiment
  3. 160 without a job offer...boom! Not that I'm considering going, was just interesting to see how I ranked.

Isn't Moto3 always the best race?
  5. I wonder how they make sure the Kreepy gets to all the corners?
  6. I'm not a doctor or a physio but I'd have to guess.....do the clever thing and postpone to 2020. No need to rush this year and possibly ruin yourself for months and months. The races aren't going anywhere
  7. Good to hear....I'm looking at getting a pair for trail running
  8. I've run in the Ghost (7 I think so a while ago). Were a good shoe, heavier than my last 2 Pegasus I'm sure. Nike Air Zoom Winflo - I had a pair of the 3. Great shoe and cheap relatively but a light shoe. Not built for miles like the Pegasus so you aren't comparing the same thing really. I've done 960kms on these and they are done for running. Gym only now. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33 - I've done 1,400kms in these and will still run in them every now and again. Love these shoes, definitely wouldn't consider them heavy Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 - done 550kms in these and they are my current everyday shoe. Love these shoes, definitely wouldn't consider them heavy

  10. Come run in JHB....no shortage of hills. On a serious note if you don't have hills just do the intervals on a flat section of road. Hills may have less chance of injury than track work but if you don't have the option of hills then to a large extent you're training the same energy systems with track work.

  12. Also did this run for the first time on Sunday. Really enjoyed the route, as you say scenery was great. I actually think the rolling hills make this an easier route that you might think. Using slightly different muscles rather than the same ones on a flat route.

    Thats not great
  14. Not running this year but I've used both his Bill Rowan and Silver plans as a base for my training successfully. Don't fall into the trap of just trying to add extra milage to reach a number
  15. Serious question...what do you do with the pics from races? Regardless of the price...do you print out photo's of yourself and put them on the wall? I'm honestly curious? I have a couple printed of myself with some mates running during a race but seems weird to me to hang a picture of just myself running.
  16. Thanks for the tip...running it for the first time this weekend
  17. Ya I wouldnt use pepper spray on a dog. On the extremely rare occasion where a dog has chased me (on the bike generally) I find that often stopping and confronting it and then walking away slowly is fine. There was one time cycling up hekpoort where two bull terriers started chasing me....thanks to the guys in the bakkie (whoever you are/were) who saw it and put their car inbetween me and the dogs so that I could get away, but I digress...
  18. I bought my girlfriend one which sprays in a concentrated stream rather than a mist. Better to aim at an attacker and means you don't get caught in the mist too. Will check the exact brand and model this evening.
  19. When following your link I couldn't help but notice the Hot Booty. https://www.onedayonly.co.za/hot-booty-electric-muscle-stimulation-booty-trainer-6.html
  20. Bleak but the right call I think. Not riding Sani so I'll be there in May
  21. Was going to ride a gravel bike for this but given the rain I'm hauling out the HT
  22. That's why I spent money on a power meter first. Still riding a dumb trainer so I can have power indoors and outdoors. Smart trainer when I have the cash and someone is looking to seek one for a good deal in the hub classifieds.
  23. 2 reasons. 1.) PM on trainers is most often not as accurate as separate power meters 2.) whether you agree with the above statement or not, they will often read differently. If you cycle outside too then using your PM inside will allow you to compare indoor rides to outdoor rides accurately. If you use PM outside and trainer inside then you can't really compare the two accurately.
  24. CBlake. Couldn't respond directly to your post....running LTHR and cycling LTHR different across sports. Different sports, difference muscles...
