  1. https://bikerumor.com/2021/10/25/must-watch-danny-macaskill-rides-along-wind-turbine-blade-in-climate-games/?fbclid=IwAR0Gt7hPYnn1WErqKuPtJdDu7ZnlZUCYR0IUWP-8tJBmGULZgWUh_bKbZGM The blade ride at the end is awesome!
  2. The interview with Team Orbea ????????????????
  3. She is a dentist now ???? And a Spesh Ambassador of course. She is doing some interesting and different stuff on the bike these days. She rides an ebike from time to time ????????
  4. I think you're getting some social media bias in there. The vast majority of people just want to ride their mtb along pretty boring trail to get outdoors, have some fun, do some exercise etc. It's only on social media that the more extreme/cool/redbully style stuff gets decent airtime.
  5. I always thought the most sold bikes (by a looooong way) were the boring old alu hard tail slx deore spec bikes and that xco xcm dh enduro etc were ALL pretty niche. It would be cool to see actual numbers - as haven't tried that hard but haven't really found anything useful.
  6. Have you got some stats/links to bike sales (types and numbers) of bicycles sold? I've always been curious and can never find decent data!
  7. This! Support the non franchised places.
  8. Jeeez tough crowd. Commentators have to appeal to a wide audience so they can't tailor their technical level to just you... They have to chat for 4-5 hours so some inane chatter is going to creep in. GdK's geography and local is spectacular, NG's tech knowledge is interesting and AL's insider knowledge is pretty cool. Beers in yellow - BOOM! Bring it home!
  9. It works great over here...but the city is tiny. I would guess it isn't plausible in most SA towns/cities. I am keen on one of these: https://www.larryvsharry.com/en/bullitt They do electrified versions but Copenhagen is pancake flat so no need for the extra expense and (potential) problems.
  10. Anecdotal evidence - here in Denmark we have a kaaaaaaakload of bikes and ebike sales are booming. I have only seen a handful of eroad or emtb - ALL of them are ecommuters or ecargo bikes. Fun fact - I get about 90% of my shop deliveries by ecargo bike now.
  11. https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/who-are-the-most-popular-riders-on-social-media/ The article covers more than just Men/Women but I was amazed to see top men have 10x the following that the top women do on social media! Ineos cleaning up in the Teams category and the TdF (predictably) in the Races category. I did the find the gap between Grand Tours and the Classics bigger than I would have thought. Maybe because Joe Public watches Grand Tours but only cycling fans watch Classic? Either way an interesting article for the stats lovers....
  12. Indeed. The fight for the African Leaders jersey is awesome - and they're both in the Top 10!
  13. I'm super happy to be wrong about Beers and Sarrou fading. Just under a 7 minute cushion to 2nd now. Gooooo Matt Beers (and the other guy!).
  14. As a child while your immune system is forming yes - as an adult it makes very little difference.
  15. Exactly the same as covid - moral of the story at stage races - wash your hands often, don't get too close to too many people and DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE EVER! Wet stages are also bad with mud, dung and the associated bacteria and parasites being sprayed all over the place.
  16. The Trek Pirelli guy was hanging on for dear life the last 20km. Didn't even take his hand off the bars to high five his team mate across the line ????
  17. Beers and Sarrou seem to be fading a tiny bit every day... Let's hope it isn't a trend/they're saving something for later/playing the strategy card. Beers for the win!!!
  18. #oneofakind!
  19. I'm really enjoying it. It makes an expats heart get a little warm ????
  20. Bollocks. If you aren't born with the Danish genes to grow the 13 extra tongue muscles required to pronounce the bløde d it is impossible ????????
  21. I am enjoying Annika Langvad's commentary. It is always interesting hearing "insider" info in between the usual MC babble.
  22. Some Shimano hydraulic brake systems use an olive/insert on both ends. It is possible to buy BH90 hose by the meter without a banjo end. If your system uses the banjo then buy a hose with a banjo pre-fitted - or if the current one is long enough then chop a little off the end and fit a new olive&insert. Be careful to add the tiny little o-rings back on each side of the banjo fitting!
  23. Turns out he had grass in his RD and couldn't use the last two gears!
  24. What is wrong with Matt's bike???? Any ideas why he keeps looking down????
  25. Man it is awesome to see SA names on and around the top. Makes it much more interesting to watch. Gonna be a cracker!
