  1. U23 men have just started...
  2. Try a few. There are some really sloppy/slimy ones - we only buy the firmer type. Frying the surface also adds to the eating experience. A bit like a cruton - crunchy surface but with a soft tasty interior (if you marinade it right!).
  3. Tofu is just really a flavour absorber. We chop it into cubes then marinade it in whatever flavour sauce we want and fry it to give it a well textured surface. We don't use it as a stand alone serving - we only add it to salads and meals.
  4. That is a pity! The RUNN has been great. It really was plug'n'play. I'm 4 or 5 runs in and I haven't had a single disruption/drop out yet (or charged the battery). In other news: I use an old windows laptop with ANT+ dongle for zwift cycling. The RUNN/ipad combo works WAY better. As an android/pc fan that irritates me :-)
  5. https://www.zwift.com/eu/shop/product/runn
  6. I haven't used a foot pod so I can't really comment on that. I would guess replace. I use the RUNN as my treadmill-ipad connection. It gives me speed and cadence. No footpod required. When I was deciding it was this or the foot pod - I decided on the RUNN because the Mrs and I both use the treadmill and we figured one unit is better than 2. Plus the RUNN is attached to the machine, won't get lost etc.
  7. The fight for the front before the beach section each lap is going to be epic. Nobody likes to follow wheels (or potentially get delayed by the guy in front) and the sand!
  8. Elite Men is Sunday 3pm CEST.
  9. It is going to take while for my sphincter to unpucker!
  10. Now THAT is a trip down memory lane!
  11. Let's hope for less slop than this: https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/cyclocross-riders-battle-half-metre-deep-mud-at-national-championships-488745?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=socialflow&fbclid=IwAR1kfOCueo-18ebfgwQ3uCpdLTwi5HRTdnUhM4EfL-E_6j4KHRIip0vq5KA
  12. The matt/gloss paint job on the Canyon Aeroad has been my favourite coating so far. It camew out beautifully. The coating makes a little more sense here in Europe where they salt the roads and cleaning your bike when you live in an apartment is tough but I would unreservedly recommend it for anyone. I tested the product for about 6 months on my own bikes before taking the agency and am totally support it. I have also coated my coffee machine, phone screen and variuous TVs and monitors I have in the store :-)
  13. It's a nanoparticle silicon dioxide (ceramic) coating. It makes your bike hydrophobic so water/dirt runs off really easily - your bike doesn't get as dirty when you ride and it's way easier to clean. It also adds salt and UV resistance and a little scuff resistance. I'm the agent for them in Denmark: https://proteambicyclecare.com/en/ There are a few people using the system in SA - 2 in Cape Town and 1 in Pta is memory serves.
  14. Frites are a problem here too - I will have to make do with good old chips. Or my current favourite - sweet potato wedges. I did find this little gem a few months ago and they are my beer of choice for special occasions: https://bikebrewing.com/ The owner is an ex actuary and is completely over the top when it comes to data and control of his brewing. He has some pear-honey mead planned for next month which I'm dying to try....
  15. I owe you a beer or 3. Awesome links! Thank you!
  16. Goooo MvdP! Sadly punctures and crashes have decided most of the Wout-MvdP clashes recently. It would be nice to have a fair head to head (in moist but not slushy) conditions. That would be a cracker! Pidcock strikes me as one of those riders that knows how to prep for the big day's. Iserbyt has been a little quiet lately and I'm not sure he'll be in top form after the injuries. Bring it!
  17. I can't wait. One hour of chaos! I was at the 2019 World Champs in Bogense and it is exactly as intense as it looks. Crowds 10 deep on the course with beer and oompah music flowing freely. Stacks of new bikes releases on display and free **** aplenty. What a day.
  18. Quite a few races end in sprint finishes too! World Champs this weekend. Gonna be a huge Wout versus Mattheiu battle. Pidcock as an outsider. Beer and frites are being procured :-)
  19. For the lactose intolerant, vegan etc this is by far the best coffee option available: https://www.oatly.com/int/products/oat-drink-barista-edition It produces a lovely stable foam in coffee machines and doesn't have that horrible thin "white water" feel that most non dairy milks suffer from. Not sure if it has made it to SA yet? Anyone have other options?
  20. I reckon prices will come down as demand goes up - standard free market principle. Over here there is a slight premium for eating healthy/veggie but not much or enough to put people off. Ahhh meat stomach. Just like cheating with sweets you need to pay the the price for eating meat :-) Some food is good for the body and some food is good for the soul - too much of either is not good...
  21. It has been interesting watching the attitude towards this thread change. Initially there was quite a bit of resistance with meat eaters posting pics of their meat and how they love to eat it along with plenty "vegans are weird" and "but you wear leather" banter. It seems to have settled into a nice rhythm now with decent info flowing back and forth. We have 5 vegan meals delivered a week - the other two we make ourselves and are normally vegetarian rather than vegan. Sometimes we augment the vegan meals with cheese and sauces. My meat eating is down to once or twice month. Kinda like cheat day on a regular diet. I don't think I'll ever be a total veggie and I'm ok with that. I am really enjoying the taste of veggie food - quite different to the "augment the meat flavour" style of traditional meals. I am much more of a "foodie" now and spend more time thinking about ingredients and flavour profiles than I ever did as a traditional eater. Personally focusing on veggie food has enhanced my relationship/interest in food in general.
  22. Same here - we have some awesome oldies that still want to give it horns on the club road rides so they bought ebikes. That said the general twat-decent human ratio is pretty low here in Denmark. The vast majority of my difficult customers are expats and for some stereotyping fun - I have 1 single Indian customer that always haggles me broken.
  23. I reckon not every ebiker is a twat but every mountain biking twat that has the money owns an ebike.
  24. On a slightly different note - has anyone else used the Runn accessory to upgrade a "dumb" treadmill? I bought one recently and it was awesome. Easy to install and does what it says on the box. Connected seamlessly to an Ipad. Had two runs on it now and am really satisfied with my purchase - it even does run cadence which is pretty cool.
  25. Bought me a pair of these a few weeks back - hands down best shoe I have ever owned. Like wearing your comfy old slippers with a stupidly stiff carbon sole. The extra/optional routing for the BOA on the front of the foot is great for us narrow footers.
