  6. Are those the Magura Hydraulic Brakes?
  7. Now, how would they have throttle control with Bar Ends? Seeing some holes in your argument yet?
  8. Judging from the other thread relating to Livestrong, your $89 in shipping is actually $20 to L.A. $5 to Travel $10 to Legal & Other $20 to PR & Advertising $5 to Audit Remaining $29 to DHL for the Shipping of your Order (Snail Mail!)

    Livestrong

You really do need to read more. He has had tests that were positive, those are the tests they are trying to release, legally there are walls and procedures. There is also a question of $100,000 "donated" to the UCI after a meeting with the UCI, Bruyneel and LA after the positive tests. Results where not released! Much more you need to learn, most having already been discussed at length right here on the Ol Hub...

    Livestrong

Read this last night after seeing a reference on Twitter...Eye opening stuff. LA Lovers will view it with Rose Tinted Glasses, but will think twice before using Livestrong as their defense of the man. 'The Haters' will smile quietly with a few "we told you so's..."
  11. Correct, except that Height is one consideration. If he is 1,77m but massively powerful, he will have sufficient leverage. If you prefer high cadence cycling / quick bursts of acceleration (Lance) 172.5mm will give you more of what you are looking for. However, a longer crank (with power) can do wonders on a false flat in a 53/13 (Mr Ullrich!) They don't make 180mm cranks for nothing!
  12. So I wasn't far out at R8,000 max.
  13. MAX! Is it quartz? If an Automatic Movement maybe then R8,000.
  14. I have a Yamaha RX-V367 amp and Yamaha NS-P280 5.1 Speaker Package in the box, that I bought three months ago, ended up being less than what I needed, put in an offer if you are interested. Perfect for a small room. 5.1 surround HDMI for Blu Ray and HDTV
  15. Interesting views, assuming everybody has worked 100%? I find it interesting how many times in my business it is the guys who work just below par that expect a '13th' cheque. Funny how they never put in a '13th' effort? Ironically it is the guys who work over and above the 'Contract' that quietly appreciate the little extra's the business gives them. Food for thought?
  16. He has replied to this thread as I knew he would, CWC patrols the social media world!
  17. Not to go into to much detail, we have closed it with a view to open in Exclusive Books in April, rental remains the challenge inside the Overpriced Malls for all retailers, not including PnP, Woolworths, Edgars etc. Exclusive are looking to downsize their mall footprints.
  18. although the seattleco.com domain is a blog site we are busy setting up. we have a store splash page at www.seattlecoffeecompany.co.za, that clicks through to a FB page. the Roastery is Union Hand Roasted, our partners in the UK are unionroasted.com that is the 16 Buiten Street venture.
  19. Hey Eldron, As all business goes, sponsorship must yield a return. We have chosen to try and sponsor Coffee at races. Some organisers have been great (Joberg2C) others downright greedy. As for riders, we do try and put a team into the rides we sponsor and sponsor a local group here in Cape Town. Cheers
  20. Thanks, it was, and has clarified that they have not as YET supported cycling as you say. But, will endeavor to do so in the future. Cheers
  21. Starbucks came in as "we proudly brew, Starbucks" a separate division to Starbucks Retail. Chatted to them a couple of weeks back and the assured me they will enter South Africa, but no time frame was given. Hope that helps with the Egg Nog Craving!
  22. HaHa Chris, We have a retail store down the rd from you, 4 Loop Street!
  23. A Slowbee 16 Buiten Street, Drop me a PM so I can organise a visit. We will open to the public soon, waiting on a very special coffee machine!
  24. Nope Marius, although you can't throw a Coffee Cup without hitting a Roaster in the CBD anymore... Origins, Truth, Delux, Espresso Lab, Bean There(Coming Soon), Haas, Vida... Good times ahead for Coffee in Cape Town
