  1. SHIMANO Guys, where are you? SRAM and Campagnolo are well represented
  2. SRAM is cool, have it on my mtb. The guys who are quiet are the Shimano guys. Di2 500g more! That's a lot. Even normal Dura Ace seems on the heavy side, that's unlike Shimano
  3. Cool, just ride record not super record, cassette is R1700, couple grams heavier than Red GXP, but man. 100 times sexier! :D :D
  4. Here endith the lesson! Groups Road SRAM made claims to have produced the first sub 2kg groupset in their 2008 Red offering. However anyone who had taken the time to add up the component weights would have found that Campagnolo Record 10sp was under 2kg in 2007. In 2011 SRAM Red still have the lightest group available (by 26g) with their BB30 crank option, however the BB30 cranks are not compatible with many bikes as yet. The Campagnolo Super Record group at 1875g is the lightest group that can be fitted to any standard bike. Courtesy of Total Cycling http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/component-weights.html

  9. "If you feel not like our products, you can Free 365-Days Returns." These guys are classic, it says $200 for free shipping, then go to the shipping page and it says all orders over $99, think they've just converted a dodgy adult site!
  10. Vibrator By Category? Discreet Shipping? Fast and Discreet? Privacy Guaranteed? What are they selling?
  11. Wow!!!
  12. Thanks for the feedback, I have my own retail business in a massively competitive sector. I'm not looking to get involved, I ran the numbers on behalf of a friend looking. After confronting the negativity of it all, we agreed not to get involved and I took my Credit Card off to CRC and Total Cycling. At G.O.G.
  13. Absolutely G.O.G., But you come from the school when retailers ran THEIR business at the customer face. Seem to remember your association to the Squires Group. there are a few guys like that left, "retailers" now are ex school teachers / civil servants who 'took the package' and bought a Franchise. Then wondered what hit them! when it came time to do the work. Even CycleLab franchises, amazing! Your view on supplying while people are buying is spot on.
  14. Convenience Retail is exactly that, Convenience. Don't advertise 24/7/365 if you can't back it up. You want a rest over Christmas get a corporate job!
  15. If you spin on the climbs, keep a granny for those 29er wheels. 29er is great when up to speed, acceleration not as sharp.
  16. Bearing in mind CRC also buy from wholesalers. They have the same number of links in the chain (so to speak) as we have here. The only thing that makes any sense would be smaller mark up along the way I guess?
  17. LSD Sidi's - Radical Man!
  18. Great, but customers want choice. Take tires, As an importer you want your product on shelf. The better you display / market / build relationships with your customer and most importantly Price & Stock your product the more you sell the more you earn. Merchandising in the LBS is Shocking! I'd love to be in a LBS that has Schwalbe, Continental, Michelin, Maxxis, Vittoria etc all lined up so I can feel, touch, choose and purchase the one that I want, not that the LBS wants to sell me. At a competitive (read NO Extra Man) Price.
  19. Correct, so that is why I propose my model. Importer owns / displays stock, money paid 7 days from Sale. My logic is why stock a warehouse when you can put the product in someones hand? Better shops make more, capitalist dream...
  20. Wholesalers supply Stock Direct to Public via LBS, pay rental for space and percentage of Turnover to LBS. LBS owns space (better store higher Rent / Percentage) this comes from Location and Service. LBS owns Servicing / Repair Obviously it gets more detailed, but I have run numbers and it is a great business. Are the Importers Interested to change NOPE Are the LBS guys Interested to change NOPE
  21. Guys there is a simple solution, but Dinosaurs need to die before a NEW AGE can begin. One acronym, YDE! Paul Simon (not of Garfunkel fame ) got it right in the clothing industry. I see it as an avenue for the LBS, but NO one wants to rock the boat. Sad really...
  22. I use these and love them, returned to Sidi after Spez. Sidi not as light, not as comfy, but just a better shoe imo
  23. Yup, and so much more. That the best example you got?
  24. He does, they've released their electric groupset, and if history repeats itself it will knock the socks of Shimano...
