  1. If you do your research the Hutchi guys have won races on Tubeless, remember Campag is only the third wheel manufacturer to make a tubeless rim, so teams not using shimano wheels with Hutchi tyres can't use tubeless. If you've used it you'll see, until then keep riding your clinchers/tubbies... Cannondale launched BB30 years ago, only now is it catching on. Either you innovate or you follow, you decide.
  2. I agree...only 32 seconds, could've sworn it was more often than that. My best is when they both say the same thing cause they were busy commentating on another show!
  3. You can't feel friction between a tube and a tire. I can only compare complete packages of WHEEL + TYRES My Shamals + Tubeless feel as lively as my Zipp 404's and Conti Tubbies, don't make as cool a noise but ride as well.
  4. I run Tubeless Hutchinsons on my Shamal Ultra 2 way's. Find the Tires are fine. The Wheel / Tyre Combo has a great feeling and I find the wheel comparable to my 404 Tubbies. Easier to install than a tubbie, more convienient if I puncture far from home (gator and a tube!) With regards sealant, you need a special sealant that I bought off CRC, for HIGH PRESSURE tubeless, it is different to the MTB version, so far it has worked at 120psi for the one puncture I had. Read below from Campag on the tube issue: There can be no doubt that tubeless is the future for on-road cycling tiretires. There are many advantages: using a tubeless tire you can exploit the greater smoothness due to the absence of friction between the tiretires and the tube. There are no risks of sudden deflation when a tubeless tire is punctured, a great advantage in safety terms. There is no risk of snake bites, as there is no tube to rupture. We guarantee the perfect compatibility of our tubeless rims even with normal clincher tiretires and tubes.
  5. no friction from an inner tube. running sealant reduces punctures.
  6. yup, same as MTB, check out the no tubes (stans) website
  7. That's correct Trubie, Only thing is that LA has always needed a team of (imo Doctored Riders) to win the Tour. What will he do this year if half are riding for AC and the other half for him? Over & Out. Enjoy
  8. Hey KK and Trubie, Funny how people watching the same race see such different angles, you have your view and I have mine. All I saw today was an Old Bullet who's Ego overtook his Loyalty. Contador is clearly the strongest when it matters, today Armstrong divided the team by sending HZ and YP to the front to help grow the Gap. LA opened the door today to a divided team, lets see what happens Thursday...Spain vs. Armstrong. I can't wait. Enjoy the race.
  9. Or maybe it's because europeans don't need LA to get Excited about the TDF, they supported it before LA, and I guarantee they will support it after...
  10. What a pleasure to watch Rodger and Andy and all the great champions at Wimbledon yesterday, LA could stand on his head and whistle dixie out of his backside...he'll never be a champion like that lot. But as Jan Ullrich said,"he's still finding himself..." I hope he finds it soon, then we can get on supporting the new guys in the sport. LA is great to bring spectators, but before LA the Alpe D'uez still brought more live spectators than a football WC...cycling will live long passed LA.
  11. not bitterness, rather amusement, I would never expect humility from LA, "the greatest champion ever", but rather respect for fellow champions / competitors. The way I see it, If you belittle your rivals, you belittle your Victory, You can only be a Great Champion if you beat Great Rivals. Today LA was not impressive, I can't wait for the mountains, Nibali, Krueziger, Schleck, Sastre, Contador, Martin, Gessink and even Evans all looked strong, the Cat 4 climb exposed who bought their climbing legs!
  12. Armstrong looked Average. Only took 20 sec out of Sastre. I watched Sastre destroy him in the Giro, and Sastre is definately not favourite above Contador, Evans and Schleck. So much for :"I would've kicked their arses..." Sorry Mr. Armstrong, behind Dennis Menchov, tonight you were THE BIGGEST LOSER. 4th on the Astana Roster.

See the new madone is on Cycling news this morning
  14. If you can afford the Tubeless Corima's I would head down that road. Just bought the Shamal Tubelessand riding them with the Hutchi Fusions is awesome. Pressure at 120PSI, responsive yet if you puncture just throw in a tube. With he Corima's you get a great weight, aero wheel with the ride near as damn a tubby (maybe better?) with the puncture option while out riding of a tube. Hutchi now have 3 tubeless tyres as options, Training (1) Racing (2).101SCC2009-07-02 00:11:20
  15. Yup, but it's how you deal with the unhappy ones that separates those who care from those who don't
  16. Brilliant stuff at a Reasonable Price, Jockey Wheels don't last as long as Factory Fitted Stuff, but the skewers are brilliant and the seat clamp does what a seat clamp should do... PM Scratch, he is super sold on KCNC stuff...
  17. If someone knows Cliff? Best they call and let's hear his side, I was just about to send my Tandem off for a bit of a personalised spray...now I'll wait and see the outcome.
  18. Big respect, I do however hope you were given an apology from DCM Chrome. Money due is due, problems or not. It took them to long to pay you what was due. Another case of the BIG guy hammers the little guy, when they needed you, you were there, cannondale or not, you got the work done. Imagine if you had made the rider wait for his bike as long as you had to wait for the payment to be settled? I guarantee there would have been some frustrated words! I for one feel an apology should not be required by you, I have my own retail business and pay attention to public forums and blogs, we get the most honest feedback from these things... Good luck with your business.
  19. SOME FEEDBACK: Rode the bike this weekend for around 4.5 hours. The bike is light (although I rode with Scirrocco Training wheels), feels super responsive climbing out of the saddle. Comfortable (can't blame the flite for lack of saddle time!). Will add some bar gel to the bars to help make it comfortable while cruising. Power (what little I have left) felt rewarded by good transfer to the wheels. Will ride it with Shamals when I'm back from CT next weekend and will let you guys know more. Best news is no rattles or nasty noises, feels solid and secure.
  20. Thanks Spider, given that you are Mr. Dale...
