A few years back one of the guys at the USN stand at the Argus Expo asked me if I wanted to bulk up. He could get me steroids. But honestly, I was not surprised.

It will work but it's a mission walking on road shoes. The pedals are also not made for those conditions. Might not clip in if caked in mud.

True, but if you hit a really bad pot hole then most wheels would need a tune up.

Honestly, just get your LBS to do it. You don't want to be sending the wheel to another province whenever something goes wrong or driving 100 km's.

Basically most road tyres will fit. A 28c tyre will work well.

I might buy them if they weren't so light.

I ride through Pinelands everyday so will look for it. Probably ended up in some township but will scan the bike park at my work just incase. Tell the owner to go to Neils Wheels in Plumstead. Act like he wants a bike just like his, if he says he is looking for his stolen bike Neil will spin a story.

A custom built Dura ace hub onto a mavic open pro rim would be the best but it will be costly - think nearly twice as much as the Mavic Askiums.

Mavic Askiums also for me. Got mine for R1700. Couldn't be happier.
