  3. I only just started cycling...i did two smalls ones last year but i tackled the big Amashova. I had lots of fun even though the first 40km i was cycling in rain but will def do it this year and set new goals. Will make this my "world champ" race.
  4. Hahahaha, wait till i upload a pic of my hardcore muscles, then you boys will be crying. Scored a free Muscletech workout drink in one of my magz. According to them it will give me energy, focus, muscle, pump and strength My game face is on. Grrrrrrrr I bought slow mag again when i went to Dis-chem cramps in my calves have eased down a lot in the last month...scared to stop taking them.

  7. I’m battling at the moment… I really don’t want to give up on my weight training. I’m trying to develop my upper body – arms and back. I’d love to have a nice toned back. I gave up weight training two weeks before Midmar Mile and then I got sick after Midmar for almost two weeks and when I went back to gym….wow, I lost a lot of strength. I need to sort out my routine and train two body parts. I have a feeling i'm going to suffer a lot at Tour Durban! :S
  8. Eh, some people take supplements and some don't...the only stuff i'm taking for gym is whey...ok, going to test out the glutamine...but fat burner (i don't believe doing anything...) Enjoy the pic. Oh, i don't do egg whites Peanut butter smoothies.

  10. They didn't last long....one in the front died down within 5 - 10min. There was another one further back but too far for my camera. I'm sure there will be some awesome photos on the internet soon...

  14. Last week sat I had a small bowl of future life just before my 90min spin session. Never again! I was dying, felt so ill. Someone mentioned about being too heavy on the stomach and my word, they were right. Will stick to having an empty stomach when I do cardio in the mornings.

  16. I used to make something similar to this but without the olive oil. I enjoy smoothies with peanut butter. Mmmmmmmmmm, but I avoid them. L Off topic: old ex of mine used to make smoothies with protein and I trusted him. Well turns out he was feeding me ‘’USN rapid weight gain’’. I nearly died!
  17. Thanks will have a look. @ Grebel - i'm not going overboard with supplements. I just use whey at the moment...buy keen to try glutamine to help my body recover faster.
  18. Pills I take are just vitamins and minerals. Ok, except the natural fat burner but that doesn't have any stimulants in it. Nah, if I go to bed at 9, I'll walk up at 12ish...if I got to bed at 12 then I'll be awake at 3. also doesn't help that its still so flippen hot at night!!!
  19. ya, there are days i crash before 9pm. Leg, back and swimming kills me but even then, i'll pass out before 9pm but then i wake up and its not even 12pm. I think mine has a lot to do with stress. Night before a sport event i don't sleep a wink. Even an event that's not stressful like Midmar Mile. At the moment i'm going through a bad patch with my sleeping patterns...i think Tour Durban giving me stress at the moment... but it does catch up to me...
  20. I doubt i'm overtrained and not taking anything that should keep me awake...i normally crash when i go to bed but then land up waking up 3 hours later and ready for a new day. Maybe it's because i train late...sometime i only walking out of gym at 730ish pm. But i think it's stress. hmmm, maybe i should give USN's ZMA a go...
