  2. I've been hearing a lot about this plyometric exercises from a few cyclist i know who swear by it.

  6. I definitely think the ‘’class’’ has a lot to do with sore knees. Some spinning instructors have no clue at all. I did a spin this morning and we did a 20min climb of just standing, which is fine but I get bored FAST and then he made us do 5 seconds sprint sitting down, then we had to stand for 5 seconds and sprint, that went on for the next 10min. Sprinting and then going into a sudden standing position can’t be good for your body at all, the sudden jerkiness I’m still waiting for the day I go flying over the handle bars with the spin bike right behind me.

  10. I just came across the photo on FB. Think the photo was taken with a cellphone...but the three guys in the photo had nice bums. I'd probably be saying something different if i saw it up close.... I don't even want to know how they must be feelign today!

Taken at La Lucia mall. 2nd pic - This is what i wake up to everyone morning, when i get up before sunrise. 3rd pic - Why the kitchen and i don't mix well together :S

  16. Well i had some this morning - didn't have time to make my oats. It's now 10:40am and im hungry. It fills me up but not hours on end like my oats. Chocolate is the best. Mixing pronutro works well. I add just enough milk to wet it. I don't like it runny. People at my work all live on it. Very popular.
  17. x 2 daily! CRAZY Eat clean Eat every 3 hours Have protein with every meal and snack Green veggies at night time Spin classes helped me shed weight. I was doing between 4 - 6 a week. If you can, do cardio in the morning before breakfast. Good luck. You'll get there. If you need help, maybe look into weighless - cheap, don't cut out any food group, never hungry and you go for weekly weigh ins.
  18. Choc FTW but banana comes last - too sweet!!! I personally stick to oats with added whey and crushed nuts (something i eat everyday. I'd feel lost if i didn't have my awesome oats in the morning ). I'll have that when i wake up which is a good 3 hours before the race. Then just before the race, i'll have a banana.

  20. Oh sorry, my ex has cycled up to Ballito and he always had someone following him. Best bet. He enjoys cycling from La Lucia to Ballito back down to the beach front. He's done it a few times.
  21. @ robinh - Ya, it's not that bad at all. I've cycled from Umhlanga to uShaka and back a few times. Take a ride up this side one weekend, you see tons of cyclist on the road in the Durban north and Umhlanga area. If you plan on cycling on the M4 then go early morning and if you plan on cycling up to Ballito then best to have someone follow you...road not so great from Umdloti to Ballito.
