maybe there is something wrong with you or your mechanic??? for example: indexing done correctly? chain length? did you change anything, like the ratio's because maybe your cage is incorrect length, did you change the chain or did you add a speedlink? maybe you should just get a roadbike.... LOL Anyway, i dont ride SRAM, have 5 bikes between my wife, son and me... all XT/XTR/2011+2012 and we dont have any mechanicals to complain about.... But I can say this is not a "common" SRAM issue - especially not on X0 Must be YOU

Admins, Moderators, thehubsa..... this is just another internet forum, run by people... no more important than anyone of us. If anyone doesn't like the rules, then they frankly dont have to come here... and if enough people do actually leave, then this place will fade away... Personally, I think it's a fine balance for the admins/mods to keep the place under control but also stay neutral.... I think mods and admins should be transparent... the problem here is that the mods want to be part of the forums and part of the community... share their views and carry on like they have a noddy badge... but then they also feel they can throw their weight around when it suits them... Mods should not participate in the forums, they should just perform a job without a personality. Oh... let me also say i think the biggest problem facing this place is that there is no real competitor.... and in todays age it might not always remain like that.

Octavian - I't would be worth your while to pop into thesportsbasement, they are located in woodmead. like previous posters said, seriously consider the Specialized Camber. You might like the colour scheme, it's almost a retro look (gold, gloss black, etc) with gold nipple's and cables, etc... i personally love it. http://thesportsbasement.co.za/p/34/camber-fsr-comp-26 At R13,000 it's a steal.... I would use the R7k to 1. Change the brakeset, 2. Change the Crankset, 3. Get a super cool saddle like F'zik Gobi, 4. Tubeless conversion..... then you would have something seriously awesome... (it comes standard with dropper post cable routing, so squeeze your budget and order a Reverb2 from CRC, it would be the best investment ever)!!!! DO IT!!! DO IT!!! But be quick, their stock on these wont last long.

Correct - also evident by the Kashima+Autosag sox that the one is 2012 and one is 2011... Most companies usually take pic-chas of their medium or small bikes because they look "nicer" on camera for some reason, i think it has to do with the proportions to the components, etc.

Yes, and if Burry was 5cm shorter the shox could have been connected directly to the headtube with no need for a toptube. that would have saved him some weight... I heard somewhere they actually built him a custom/test frame just like this, but he so badly wants to run 29er wheels that they couldn't get it right, because under suspension load the two wheels kept on touching eachother.

Dont know much about ridget forks. But in my humble opinion the R-forks just looks better than the niner... from a pure aesthetics point of view... scrap that, just keep the niner forks, my point of aesthetics goes out the window as soon as you get on it anyway.... (nice bike!!!)
