  1. You have 2012 XT Brakes an you are asking about brakes? Dude... it's like dating Halle Berry and still wondering if you should try and flirt with Angelina Jolie.... just let it go... save it for another time. I've said it before, I'd say it again, you CANNOT upgrade from a set of XT 2012 brakes..... everything else will be a downgrade... or at most be "similar" in performance (R1).
  2. 1. When exactly did you got them? Exchange rate is KuK at the moment. 2. Jagwire comes in Hyper or Ripcord??? which did you get, I don't think you can get the PROPER ripcord kits for R230, was prob for the cheap "Hyper kit"??? 3. Goodridge pricing is dear... or Mikes ripped you on the fiitings?
  3. You should be paying around R300 for the derailleur kits, about R350 for a hose kit, and then about R+-150 for the quick-fit kits to suit your brakes.
  4. If you can do a footjam-tailwhip then Yes!, you can have any frikken chain you want... http://www.ilovegirlriders.com/en/media/rokgallery/2/2c7c0476-da4c-47fa-92f3-31742e9e3f99/3e6273ca-9675-4adb-bcea-59971ed14ac3.jpg
  5. PS > if you go for the Jagwire derailleur hoses, get the "Ripcord" kit. And you might as well order 2x, because with most frames running complete housing all the way through it might be tight. It's not a waste though because you will have a spare set of inner cables to change with your first major service... They are about R270 for a kit.
  6. Chain... not too sure... coloured chains are for SS's...
  7. Ooooohhhhh, I love Jagwire!!! Black Carbon is one of the more conservative, but very classy options... subtle... I would start with derailleur cables first, if you like it, then add the hoses... hoses are ALOT more work as it requires full bleed of the system and you need the connector kits, etc etc... and it's just as easy to do "later" as it is to do at the "build"
  8. Hey Paulst... if you have a hot wife I'd love to service your bike and even clean your pool??? haahaha
  9. Awesome, and good luck... hope you do really well!!!
  10. Stage racing = new 2012/13 SLX or XT with Ice-Tech Rotors, cuz spares are cheap and available, super easy to bleed, bombproof. For a "show-off" (spoil-yourself) bike, or if you have enough moohla and can afford keeping yourself lots of spares and tools, then Formula R1 is sooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!
  11. XTR bits are made to get dirty... really dirty...
  12. Don't get us started... this thread can go to the dogs quickly....
  13. Delilah...... i've been inspecting and touching your (XTR) bits all afternoon... they are really hot!
  14. Agree, awesome display.... I'm totally OC(D) and semantics drive me mad.... (now you made me look at it again I spot sooooooo many QR Forks...... why?????)
  15. From my quick peek at the pichas, I can only suggest you order more Tapers.... And please, get more Fox products... Also maybe change the title.. Those are forks, not shocks, and if you are making reference to Rock Shox, its not Rock Shocks... its Shox..
  16. you just lost -10 points in my book for the bar-ends....
  17. Nice build... headset?
  18. Grips... what the plan, colour/make/model? Bar-ends....please say NO!?
  19. You going to have to give in and let me build him for you, cuz it will drive me nutz if some tjop gets the cable routing all messed up and not 100%...perfect
  20. Yeah, prev largest single shipment was 41kgs.... Itz all D's XTR fancy bling parts that get packaged like are art and not as mountainbike gear.... hehe
  21. Lol, I currently have 46kgs of bling sitting at customs... finally cleared this after noon... Hope to get it sorted out over the weekend... Besides, last time your bling hung out at my house for almost a month, in fact it moved houses with me.... So sjhhhhhoes and keep quiet...hahaha
  22. Lookin' good.... just need white grips!
  23. Oooohh oooooh, those hoops are going to look even hotter with a pair of Ice-Tech Rotors attached to them.... very sexy indeed! From the pic the rear hub is still QR, what's the plan there, 142/12mm conversion on track? You will feel instantly better (or worse) when you receive your XTR bling package!!!!
  24. You are not supposed to rub it on your stomach... you have to consume it orally
  25. Depends on the pace, environment and conditions... But most importantly... just use it for the placebo effect.... when you feel like you "need it" - then klap it back and convince yourself it's WORKING!!!! On 60km's you should be taking it 30min-45min into the ride, and you only need one.
