  5. Just depends, how fast do you want to sell them? The retail value should be around R 7199 Fair price would be around R5.5k Quick sale would be around R3.5k Anything in-between might take a bit longer. I would put it out at R5k and sit it out for a couple of weeks.
  6. The expensive bits will be the Wheels and Forks. If you have to buy this for your Momsen frame it can be an investment from anywhere between R 4000 to R 8000, and that for entry level forks and pair of wheels. Building a bike is not cheap, I think you might do better holding off and buying a good condition 2nd hand bike which has been upgraded already....
  7. R13800 for maintenance, NO that's not right... for repairs, maybe... if you have major failure or damages due to bad luck or lack of talent (or both). Here is my rough view to MTB maintenance: 0. Wash my bikes as soon as it looks dirty or after every wet/muddy ride 1. Every 50-75km's, Check wheels, brakes, gears, clean, torque stem/handlebars/clamps and post. Clean suspension stanchions, shock and seals, clean/re-lube chain 2. Every 1000km's Replace Chain, Grease BB, Crank Remove rear shock and grease all bushings/pivots. 3. Every 3000km's Replace Cassette & Chainrings, Check hubs, spokes and rims for wear and/or damage 4. Fork and Shock Maintenance, every 60 hours minor service, every 12-18 months major service.
  8. Oh, did anyone mention the Stan's secret yet... I almost forgot? You have to down a half a cup of Stans and squeeze some lemon in your left eye. Otherwise it wont seal.
  9. awesme, ...dude... just pump them 2.2 bar and go for a 20km ride. No tire will keep it's pressure, especially if you dont ride it and just hang it up on the wall to look pretty.... you need to use those Haven's... it's sacrilege... those wheels need to be used boy!!! It's simple, you are not going to perform like a pornstar if you are a virgin or coming off a long "break".... I have those exact same tires, on those exact same wheels, on my SB-66.... no problems, ever.
  10. What I do is simple, but I find it VERY effective... Check the Hubber's profile and check his/her member registration date, check out their post history... You will quickly notice if the member plays an active part in the community or just a chancer. I then follow that up with a phone call and ask about their interest, riding, background and just a normal cycling chat, you notice immediately if the person is a legit hubber or just a fraud.

Need to do some riding after a week in Europe, have not been on my bike for while and it's starting to turn me into a mr. grumpy If we are doing more than 1 lap then I'm tempted to take out the one of the sissie 29er's... But then again, if some people are game for the blue routes then the longer travel option is soooo tempting...

  13. What is a "hair line" fracture??? Are you sure it's not just the clear coat? Carbon doesn't "hair line" - it's either a crack or it's not.
  14. The SCOTT Aspect 10 is a 26er. And there is no reason for those brakes to be squeaky, fix them.

  21. Hi Sepia, Sorry to hear about your poor "purchasing" experience. Maybe you could name the person and you would quickly get some comments/feedback from other hubbers... Also, you should always atleast make a phone call or two before you commit to paying/purchasing?
