  1. once a crook alway a crook
  2. Replace the frame. Best trick to sorting out that one
  3. You need to change your name to 'Danger Nanny'. Seriously. How was he meant to present his first post then? BTW, he didnt mention the rider's name. So what's the problem?
  4. I thought you weren't involved. You emphatically told me so. Now you are? Which is it? Nathrix, what makes you think I'd want to have a beer with you? All you have been is abusive to me.
  5. My questions have not been answered at all, so no, not yet. Forgive me if I don't want to just throw my hard earned money into the 'suspected for collusion and price fixing' shop's account. It's simple.
  6. He's a 15 year old kid. Stop being a d!ck
  7. Thanks dude. All I asked for was a couple of answers to my questions about where my money would be spent.
  8. That's exactly how I felt. When I read his long post about mending his way a few pages back, I thought cool. Even though he's not answered a lot of questions, he's making an effort. Then he posts that kiddies bike pic. WTF is this guys for real??? He's taking the piss in a huge way. He's not serious at all. My suggestion to all cyclists: - Make a note of every single serial number on your bike. Every component has a number. Put it into an Excel spreadsheet. - Print it and have the police verify it with a stamp. This will allow you to find your parts when this crook has stripped your bike. I've been keen on a few bikes on Gumtree and some replies come from Neil. I delete the mail before even finishing it. I'd just like to add that because Neil is providing a market for stolen bikes, thieves are out in the hills supplying to his demand. I feel that the police should do a thorough investigation into this guy and his shop.
  9. Well now Stephan, actually if you READ what I said, IN EVERY SINGLE POST about the matter I offered to fund and have signs made. POS indicated that the signs were being made already. Why not READ through all of the threads before you come on here, accuse me of total cr@p and make yourself look like a fool.
  10. Really? Just look at your signature!
  11. It's because he wants a reaction from people. Bet you he's following this thread too. Here's the exact scenario, and a great answer to the problem: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110218130529AAp3b8W
  12. I don't see your real name anywhere though? Pot calling the kettle black maybe? MJ just can't handle someone else's opinion. He MUST be right. Being strong unto yourself means that you can debate openly, hold your beliefs and respect other peoples' thoughts. The fact that he's running off to cry and lick his wounds is just a show of character. I can't find any instance where someone attacked him. Even so, "sticks and stones..." as the old saying goes. Who cares? It's a forum FFS.
  13. man boobs
  14. hahaha, the classic toddler routine. "I hate you and I'm running away!". Come dinner time toddler appears. MJ, take a little hunk of cheese, some bread, tie it in your hanky. Go play by the river. We'll call you when McGuyver comes on.
  15. Hello, Thanks for this response. To make a few things clear. I was hoping for a detailed answer on the forum so that this information will be available to all. Your 'T&C's are for races. This is not a race. Also, calling something standard doesn't make it so. It's an often used term that has no grounds as to actually being standardised. (Think in legal terms if you must). As of this point, none of my questions have been answered. I don't need the PI's itinerary etc. I'd just like basic facts. PM them to me if you like. I don't think it's too much to ask for basic details. I will not provide any of my personal details to you if you make me agree to waive my right to not be spammed. Simple. It's uncalled for and it's a marketing shill. If you can't respect my rights, I'll not help out. The last part of your comment requires some explaining too. Higher up in the thread it was mentioned that R10,000.00 has been donated by one person. Looks like you are R4,000.00 short? Unless this donation was made today?
  16. Was wondering the same (but didnt dare mention this for fear of being 'Nanny beaten'). There are actually legal requirements.
  17. Don't let 1 or 2 nannies spoil it for you. Your suggestions are just as good as any, and they came with good intentions.
  18. ALL possibilities should be investigated. No idea is a silly one. With a world this corrupt and with greed being at an all time high, why not entertain the obvious?
  19. I would't be surprised either. Sales are down, business' are in struggling to make ends meet, anything is possible in a climate like this, especially when our 'leaders' have shown that crime pays. I'd love to see this huge market in Zim and Moz as well. By the looks of it IF this were the case, we'd be able to go to one race and reclaim all of the bikes. Nope, I think it's far more sinister than that. After the collusion scandal last year, I've not been able to look at the cycling industry the same.
  20. Hi Dangle, I really appreciate your response.
  21. There, I fixed this for you.
  22. MJ, are you being irrational to get a rise out of people? I donate money to 3 charity organisations yearly. One of them is the SPCA. I also buy all of my pet food and supplies at the SPCA so they can make a profit. I've not asked for financials because they are not doing what they do for business. They do what they do because there is a need for it. Nobody does a thing for animals, certainly not our 'government'. I've just donated a large sum to another charity. Their financials are available, and it's a cause that I strongly believe in. I have NEVER signed or agreed to any terms or waiver with either of them. In the Cyclelab case, I'm presented with an open ended 'Terms and Conditions' forms, which I MUST agree to, before I can pledge. Some of these terms I find invasive and uncalled for. Given that our 'police force' should be using my hard earned tax money to make our country safe, I don't see it as poor form to request to see exactly how this money will be spent. If it's for PI costs, what are they. Who is the PI, what is his track record? What areas are being investigated? etc. Nathrix, I'm sure you can direct the Cycle lab team to this thread so they can address my questions. I'm certain you can understand why I'd rather not send an email from my company. If there's no issues, then these should be able to be answered quickly.
  23. ? I'm not sure why you have posted this response. Your sarcasm is not appreciated. I asked some valid questions, which I'd like addressed before I donate any money. Please refrain from hijacking my post, which asked valid questions, ones that I'm sure will have answers at some point. What about my questions, MJ, made you post this response btw? I'm happy to donate a healthy sum to this cause, but I expect this to be dealt with in a proper fashion. Any problems? PM me then. edit: oh, and as an outsider, by reading those Cyclelab terms and conditions, it looks like a tacit attempt at marketing guised as philanthropy. It smacks of bad taste and defeats the altruistic nature of such an exercise. Why should I be subject to spam and waiving my rights in order to help with a donation?
