Yip, the girls in the front of D were super strong, they finished strong with the front of D, unlike myself who had absolutely nothing left for that last little climb...

There was a guy on a MTB with nobblies in D (D3777). He finished with the front bunch in 2:32, big respect, it couldn't have been easy. Well done dude!!

Yip, it all depends what the wind is doing on the day!! I see the top 20 or so guys in D last year finished in 2:38 / 2:39 which is quick. I think around 2:45 is a reasonable time for D... Lets do it!!

The front B bunch also had to dodge a pedestrian (and a TAXI) coming through town before turning left to the finish straight. We also had to go around a few of the shorter distance riders who were in the middle of the road. I am sure they must've got a bit of fright when the bunch passed them at 50kmh+.

This was my 3rd Shova and I was very happy with my ride in B bunch, kudos to all the guys in the Compendium kit, they spent a lot of time in the front of B. I heard one guy come down very hard behind me as we went over a speed bump, he must've not seen it but it sounded eina, I hope he's ok!! This is definitely one of my favorite races, one of the better events on the calendar. I'll be back next year. Well done to the organizers!!

If I remember correctly, the forecast for last year's race didn't look good leading up to race day but it turned out to be decent conditions on the day. I am hoping this will repeat itself this year and we can have a dry (and safe) race!!
