To be honest not sure exactly where (sorry I'm not to familiar with the area) but it was after a one of the descends where I dropped back a bit because I'm not the most confident descender and I didn't have enough in the reserve to catch the group again but it wasn't the front B group, it was probably about the 3rd bunch from B.

Unlucky, That really sux!!! I probably passed you but didn't realize it was you (not that I would've been able to help tho)

I enjoyed the race and was chuffed it didn't rain!! Did a better time than last year managing to come in with a 3:04 from B group, unfortunately I couldn't hold the group I was with after about 75kms (maybe the few beers I had at beach bums were to blame) otherwise I would've broken 3hrs but I will be back next year to try again. It's a good weekend away!!

Been seeded in "A" but will more than likely drop to "B" bunch because I'm not keen on being dropped after the first right turn...

I'll be there, looking forward to it!! The forecast looked a bit bleak earlier in the week but it seems to be getting better, lets just hope it stays that way and we have a dry race, unlike last year... Good luck to all the guys and gals riding!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the A seeding, sorry if it came across as a complaint, but like Falco says, I'm more curious how racetec does their seeding and why it seems quite different across events. Nevertheless, I'm super amped for this years Amashova, it's a great event, hopefully the rain stays away this year. See you all in a few weeks.

I also think there's something up with the seeding. I've been seeded in A but last week at race for victory (which is a smaller race) I was seeded in CL, both are timed by racetec. I was expecting about a C seeding for amashova so goes without saying I will be dropping back a group or two. Also not keen of being spat out the back of A group after only a few kms.

I died out there today. I bombed out quite early after a big effort to try catch the CL bunch after the mud road, big mistake. Also started cramping at about 80kms, first time this happened to me. Only managed a 3:42, oh well, I'll just have to train harder for the next one!!

It's definitely racetec, I got confirmation from the race office.

HAHA, but you joke... I dropped back to the shorter distance race at Lost City this year because I was a bit sick and there was a guy riding on quite an old MTB wiff a baggy short pant and slip slops wiff da socks... I had a good chuckle at him.

Damn, just a few weekends too early. I will be at Sundays over the last weekend of September for my mother in laws 60th. If it was over the time I was gonna be there I definitely would have brought my bike along. Enjoy!!!

Ok!! always cool to put a face / bike to a fellow hubber!! I didn't have much left towards the end, I was battling to hold on but at least the non workers got dropped on the last stretch home. Thanks for a good ride after losing the bunch, I didn't get a chance to say thanks to all the guys in our group at the finish.

It sounds about right, I think we taliking about the same group, if so, I was in the same group then. I was on the black and white felt, wearing a biogen top.

Was the non worker on a cannondale and the guy threatening to bliksem him in purple kit?
