I’d strip the hub, do some digging, could be a small bit that made its way into the hub mech, and when it engages freewheel it’s touching metal upon metal. Sometimes a misalignment on a leaf spring is the result. You see with alot of packed grease it can go unnoticed. Worth a second look in my opinion. Let us know if you come right.👍🏻

So many didn’t get a chance to shine…, I think the big losers was Ino boys. I think Sheffield carries a new team mascot as the only Rider to crash in every Classic 😅. Lots of sore bums today… and riding with no gloves, seems Tom Boonen sure left some benchmarks to a true classic winner! 👀

Absolutely an insane edition, unfortunately my pick King Kung couldn’t do it, but to be there when the selection was made was a great ride. So this goes down as the fastest edition in this the 120th time of PR. Team tactics was huge today, we were semi transported back to the days of Mapei! A lot of strong players were not to be, and to see Sagan going out in his last race was a bitter pill to swallow! Amazing that hanging around the front would be the undoing of many. As for mechanical issues, we see no group set is immune to the ghosts of pave, but a certain team sure slipped on a banana! Now it’s time to reflect of what could have been for riders like Ganna and Perderson, both have good form, so I’m expecting some strong performances in the coming races. But I think the later would do well at Amstel Gold. The next big one in terms of Classics for me will be LBL, I think Jumbo will try to make good there.

PB- it’s not the strongest who wins… we’ve seen it time and time again how the strong have failed. This is about staying out of trouble, and tactics. I think the best person who can testify to that is Robert Hunter. I’m going for an outsider, the pave has always favoured the brave! Let’s see if Fred Wright can get into the mix or do we see Kung arrive solo into the Velodrome?

What about completely re-rooting via the top tube and down the seat tube and Change the FD to an opposite pull? Then you can ditch the bottom system maybe?… ( like the FARR gravel frame)
