He had old T-shirt, black pants, white cap on............ I would imagine he would have at least had a pair of normal shorts on for his morning ride :-)

Suspect I saw a stolen bike this morning. If anyone has had a scott scale (think it is Alu) taken from them recently I saw a guy riding one at 5.35am past Bryan Park shopping centre JHB. He was wearing work clothes, cap and white headphones that could have been from an ipod. I suspect this could be his commuting route. The bike was a 29er Scott White fork, I think it was that metallic grey with white scott writing. Bike looked quite new. Unfortunately I did not see it for long and it was dark. Could be worth checking the area out round that time in the morning. I would imagine if he had bought that kind of bike he would at least have a helmet or shorts.

The Cruz frames are very short. Short top tube and short rear stays. Awesome on the climbs and single track but can kick a little on the bumpy downhills...... My height is perfect size for the medium frame according to their charts, smack bang in the middle. The handle bars are flat bars and inverted stem and zero stack headset so managed to keep the front low. Saying that the height difference between saddle and handle bar is still a lot smaller than on my 26er. Sitting a lot more upright now.

but use a half bottle in the 2nd cage position that's all that fits on my bike...... which is still dirty Just sprayed it down that's all. Pic before wash down.......

awesome fun and as twinpiston said, the times segments was a blast. Looking forward to next year. Does anyone know where the photo's might be?

Sadly I am sure they will win..... I have already bought the product but it will be nice to hear the excuse. Normal one of 2. Rand dollar although the 10 plus has been around for many months, or suppliers. But being me i will go ask anyway but with first hand honest research done before ..... Best I go on a friday - friday fight club :-)

R20 I can understand but R49 on a previous R99 item is suspect. Unless we are paying extra for the bigger floor shop area :-) Once I have a car again I will make a trip past them and grill them on the possible reasons for such an increase. Nothing like a scotsman bargaining with the Indians. Could take last a while :-)

In this case having just bought one at 99 bux from the same shop, there should have been no need to shop around. Pity I could not go there myself (no car) cause I would have certainly said something to them and shopped at another shop....

I bought the frame from finish line and he knows very well what hanger is what. Before I even took the bike on a real ride some rope got caught and broke the hanger which I bought. I then went to the same guy to get a spare hanger but almost double the price (and this time did not come with the bolt) either he took a chance or they put their prices up. Either way I won't go back on principle. Same guys is trying to sell the 2012 frame as the price of the 2013 frame. No wonder it is not selling :-)

2 months ago it said 99.99 on the price sticker now 149.99. I know you always ask for a discount from those guys but they are now ripping it.

Goes with the shop expansion....... Lets hope the lab does not do the same cause they really expanded :-)

Didn't need to on the last chain it just said 99.99. Anything under 100 these days you don't complain about, unless we are talking about beer :-)

Ha ha yeah your right cause I know I can get it cheaper. So much for real karma, give away a chain or free (rare very rare thing for a scotsman) and gets hit with a 50% increase karma biiiiiiaaaatch slap for my good deed. Aaaaah well lucky my home brew beer supplier keeps the prices the same.......

Sadly I don't have a car for a few weeks so had to rely on other people helping me fetch spares. Normally I am the king at sniffing out a cheap deal - something to do with the scotsman in me :-)

Well it seems silly season has hit, and it is Christmas bonus time .......... 50% mark ups in under 2 months.... Bought a SRAM ss chain as backup for 3 towers, in Oct for R99.99 Gave it to my nephew as he broke his chain. Then mine broke and urgently need a new one for this coming weekend. Asked someone to get me the same SRAM chain from the same shop. He comes back with it.... R149.99..... Is it Christmas bonus time or is it because they expanded their shop and need more money.... Can't be exchange rate that didn't go up 50% and has been up for some time now. One can understand prices go up but 50% in 2 months is crazy. Bit like finish line cycles, Santa cruz hanger R130. 1.5 months later (after expanding their shop) same item R213....

Excellent one in Harties done by the kids and Trinity cycles. They keep adding every week.

Great event, but they can give up the boerie roll for an extra beer. Great fun well organized. Yeah there was 2 major points where people could have cheated but then hey are just missing out on more fun riding :-)

My last merida frame creaked all the time unless i put a tiny bit of grease on the contact points of the quick release. Would last about 10 washes then i had to reapply. Try another quick release or at least try the grease option to eliminate this part

She has started riding your one bike so technically you only have 2 bikes. You already have permission for 3 bikes :-)

Nice they changed the start, last years I heard was crazy. Interesting place that. Should have showers arc already there. Going to be interesting to try get to VG for some dirt riding. If the front guys start 6am and head towards VG first all 3 options will be blocked. Last year we came down the dirt road near the start line. peacanwood side will be blocked by 6.10, road near VG by 6.30 latest. Is this full road closure? Is this race full road closure?

What and hey said VG was. High DNF count :-)
