  1. My wife and I are flying to Perth on Emirates. I just wanted to ask- afaik or at least understand is both bags (economy flex) can weigh up to 23kG. If we take our bikes then the accumulative weight still needs to be under 46kg but L+W+h needs to be 150cm. Is that really even possible for a bike bag? Otherwise you pay the additional $175 as long as its under 300cm total. Edit: my question is is it possible to make a Bike bag 150cm?
  2. I think they should call that model the Zuma for when salesmen are trying to tell people the price. there is gonna be confusion.

  5. Wonderful initiative.
  6. I don't commute but love my morning ride during the week, I just wanted to say this- I really worried about cars and taxis and muggers and weather UNTIL I actually just did it. Figured out a cool little 25km route and just rode my bike. So if you're reading some of the comments and they are slightly off putting, just do it once And you will realise that most of the niggles and worries are probably typed with a smile. Bicycling is love
  7. Awesome bikes! (very pricey tho! Weak rand?)
  8. Fantastic idea. My garage needs a clean.

  12. Howsit, Can someone please tell me where there is a tacx agent in Somerset West or CT. I need a new tension cord. I have tried coolheat (no list of agents on website, still waiting for a reply) and the forums with no luck. Thanks
  13. Beat me to it
  14. there is an article somewhere about Taylor Made sponsoring Lance so that they can stay true to their golfing heritage and make bike shorts but only for one ball. Hold on I'll find the link #lanceballjokesareold
  15. PM sent
  16. I agree in a way, but sometimes (actually many times) the people have upgraded their anthems and are looking to cover that cost too. So it becomes a finer line, you're still getting an older anthem, but with some new bikebling
  17. You will find the same ones in boksburg. It's called the flea market principle
  18. I can't believe how much cycling costs period. I saw a pair of asoss socks today at woodmead for R625. I wish I had taken a pic coz I can't believe it now myself. They were some kind of thermal socks admittedly, but holy crap. So many starving people could eat off the R590 you could give after just buying a pair of falke and donating the rest.
  19. You must have had the crap beaten out of you at school
  20. No sorry, to be clearer on point 4- if you stop and save a session (not an interval) and then go again, it doesn't show. Happened to me a few times.
  21. There are some problems I experienced: 1) it doesn't accurately keep the no. Of lengths I do in a 25m pool. If I'm just going slow it misses a few and if I'm sprinting it adds a few. Same with my girlfriend. 2) the face is big, so when reaching for the wall you sometimes stop the session due to your wrist hyperextending and the back of your hand pushes the stop button. 3) it only calculates the length if you glide out. So in other words on your last length you have to turn and glide out for it to register. 4) you can't stop a session and then start later with it adding it to your overall total. (Small problem but it sucks coz it shows the total on the face and I wanna brag dammit) and 6) it isn't sealed properly. Condensation in screen is a problem I read in a review and mine started last week too. Hope this helps
  22. I bought mine from due south. R1599. A bit disappointed in it tho for what its worth. Sandton city due south is R100 more expensive so look around
  23. I get off my bike not because I'm a dumbass, but because I have a Numbass.
  24. Seventh-day ADVENTIST. But that definitely put a smile on my face. And yes the Adventists do worship on a Saturday following the 4th commandment to do so. And Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments." Actually the Meals on Wheels race is run by ADRA (Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency). I like what someone said earlier about relationships as opposed to religion, and if that statement was to hold any ground then the most natural conclusion would be to express that relationship in different ways. One of the ways is to remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy (4th commandment). I doubt when God wrote holy he was thinking of adding- even on your bicycle...
