  1. The hacker I built while I was getting over my hernia op in May - 1000k's since the 20/5/2008. Bloody heavy (14kg's) but great for training!

  3. I don't have that problem' date=' I am too slow [/quote'] You'd be a lot faster if you didn't ride that ........ ag I give up
  4. Dunno if that goes so 'cool' with the black and lime ...................
  5. That white stem just looks wrong on an all mountain bike A nice white Ritchey WCS ' date='now all I need is the handlebar [/quote'] And a 'proper' XC bike will also help

  7. I was not of the opinion that he was from your neck of the woods Bob!
  8. Checking mampara's bike (which I really like BTW) I wondered what do most prefer? 1) The bike as it came from the manufacturer or if own built with the standard colours etc. (no gold bolts/outers/brake housing/hubs/nipples) 2) With just some subtle changes that are more related to improve the performance or functioning of the bike. In this case some coloured bling in my opinion is OK! 3) Every possible part colour (not necessarily all the colours of the same hue ....) co-ordinated ................ 4) The last one should only have 1 vote, in this case the owner defines the bike! I reckon in some cases the bike ends up just looking horrible, bit like a 1.6 Camry with 20" spinner hubcaps ...... Don't get me wrong though some hubbers (Zas/Jules/Crux/Para to be specific) have shown some beauties recently - these guys seem to know just how much is enough!BigBen2008-09-25 05:21:48
  9. I have also bought tools as required so haven't ended up with anything I never use .....
  10. In my experience roof is more convenient (if you leave them on the roof) but it does have a major effect on fuel economy (even with no bikes on ....). Also not ideal for long journeys, the front of your bike takes quite a hammering from insects and the like. Great care must be taken riding under anything (even trees etc.) Towbar is better for long journeys and fuel economy!
  11. eating less will save the money needed for your new fulcrum mtb wheels...... But he'll have to starve ......

  18. Anyone know anything about an MTB race near Cullinan this coming Saturday? Heard about it from some old folk at the Stonehaven race today ........... Any other MTB races this Saturday round Howteng perhaps? DR mentioned something about Bekker schools.
  19. At least I've retained my number 1 spot schweet Thanks DR you are a scholar and a gentleman (OK maybe neither but hey I tried ......)
